Question: Should we still be in Iraq?

We don't need to be in Iraq. If you think we should, why aren't we in Russia over Chesnia? The Iraq war was proposed in 1998. This war has nothing to do with the war on terror. The way you eliminate terrorism is to place an expensive bounty on someone. A $1 billion dollar reward for Osama would be a lot better than the trillions of dollars we have spent trying to catch him. Oh, and we would probably actually catch him. Already we are proposing a preemptive nuclear strike on Iran, a country that has done no harm to us. We used to give money to Al Queda for foreign interests. After bombing Iraq for 10 years, occupying Saudi Arabia, and interfering at the Muslim's holy land. How would we feel if Iraqi's occupied Washington DC with military bases? Just like we don't hate Iraqi's for a lack of freedoms, the Iraqi people don't hate us for our freedoms. The only reason to hate us would be our flawed foreign policy of interventionalism.

We're in over 8 trillion dollars of debt. What is going to happen when there's is a true threat to our National Security? If a country wanted to attack us wouldn't this be the perfect time after we have exhausted most of our resources? Unlikely? Perhaps, but it was surprisingly unlikely for Pearl Harbor also. Fortunately then our resources were not exhausted.

Staying in Iraq right now is nothing more than a recruiting tool for Al Queda. If we wanted to create a peaceful surrounding we need to stop inciting hatred around the world.

Bush said "If the Iraqi's want us to leave then we'll leave tomorrow morning" or something to that effect. I think road side bombs planted for us only while we're patrolling the streets is proof enough. Iraqi's and the Iraqi's have said "the sooner the better" for our troops leaving.
