View Full Version : I'm freaking out

Is anyone else feeling excited/anxious/nervous? I can't believe we're 1 day away from actually having a vote. This has been nearly a year long journey since Paul declared and I feel I have invested a lot of personal energy and hope in this thing.

I feel like pulling my hair out or biting my nails or something. The tension is becoming unbearable.

We finally get to see if spending so much time on the forum is going to pay dividends or if actually finding new supporters is what we should have been doing.

I have a very full day at the NH Liberty Forum, including my first time firing a gun, and then I have to race back home for poll checker training, which will finish right around when the IA caucuses begin, at which point I'll be home listening to RPR and hanging out in chat and the forums. What a day.

This (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=71291) should show us all what we're up against and IMHO there is nothing for us to do other than pray. There are forces here beyond our power to deal with and if there are some that doubt this, just LOOK at ALL THE OBVIOUS things against this campaign. The fact that it has grown and not crumbled by now makes me wonder if Ron Paul isn't God's man of the hour. I have no doubt that there has been constant prayers for our nation since 9/11. Could it be that what we're seeing is God's answer to those prayers? And not only here, but all over the world? Has there EVER been a campaign like this????? Can't we believe that there may very well be some divine force working here? Let's trust that whatever happens is in God's hands for His Glory.

Have you tried "Since 70% of all Americans are against the war, how can a pro-war candidate win in the general election?"

Have you tried "Since 70% of all Americans are against the war, how can a pro-war candidate win in the general election?"

he doesnt believe in that number - he is pro-war...very pro-war

i asked him why he hasnt signed up to go fight the war? I served 2 tours and Im 100% against this BS war... his comeback is .. I dont need to be in the military to be against terrorism

typical pro-war answer... its okay to send us veterans to 3-4-5 tours of duty while our civilian lives are destroyed, but they have no problems sitting at home all warm and cozy saying "i support the troops"

Fair enough hellah. Sometimes you just have to step back. No need to think of it as giving up on him. If you've provided the info that's all we can do. I've tried and tried to persuade a friend of mine from Colorado but now it's impossible since she thinks I'm "obsessed with Ron Paul" (which I probably am ;)) ... sometimes trying too hard gets nowhere and people get defensive.

Give the info/links and then move on to others; can't win them all.

p.s. I see you're a veteran - always great to have guys like you on the forum. I can admit I am not a brave or tough enough person to join the military - so I respect you guys lots. :)

Huckabee is definitely psychopathic, and it seems to run in the family. Just yesterday all the media massed around his barber chair as he got a $75 haircut and he told the barber "If you cut me, I'll kill you" or something very similar to that. Just like when pheasant hunting a week ago he said that those pheasants represented those who wouldn't vote for him.

Tell your friend he's supporting a psychopath and show him that picture of Huck with his fat, inbred family.

http://www.cptryon.org/prayer/special/serenity.html

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

--Reinhold Niebuhr

Is there anything else you can do that you haven't already to help in Iowa? If so do it. If not do worry about it. Whatever happens the sun will still rise and set and the Ron Paul campaign will continue. Iowa can only help us. All we have to do is beat expectations.

This is actually a legitimate question. I am very upset at many Christians because of their insistence that we need to be in the Middle East wiping out radical Islam. The clear teaching in the New Testament is that we are to be reaching throughout the earth with the message of the gospel, not with the message of democracy. I find democracy to be a poor substitute for the truth of the gospel.
