yeah the 9/11 was an inside job shouting at rallies needs to stop as much as i hate saying this as i'm saying basically don't use free speech but.....the bottom line is I don't care what you believe about 9/11 that's your choice. At the same time I feel no one should use the Ron Paul campaign to push some of your own personal beliefs (well unless those beliefs have been cleared supported by Ron Paul himself), the goal is to get him elected let him do the talking for himself. If you really want the truth aka more investigation into 9/11 we need to get him elected and shouting 9/11 was an inside job is only going to be detrimental to the campaign.

CAN ANYONE ESTIMATE THE CROWD NUMBERS?

I couldn't tell, the picture was too pixelated and narrow to get a good estimate. But if I had to guess, around 1,500 give or take a couple hundred.

No kidding. What's next? David Duke fans showing up at Ron Paul rallies, and taking the opportunity to yell "Lynch *insert racist slur that begins with N*!" while Ron Paul pauses between sentences?

If the truthers want to do Ron Paul some good, go shout that truther crap at Fred Thompson events.

That's actually a really cool idea. To see 9/11 truthers infiltrate rallies for hillary or obama or thompson shouting "9/11 was an inside job!"

It would be really funny to see that on tv, maybe some media folk would pick up on it. 9/11 people would get their playtime, and the toptier would scramble to deny conspiracy theorists supporting their positions. lol.

He didn't say a whole lot about immigration specifically. If you are a Ron Paul fan you've heard it all before, but it was great seeing him in person and the crowd energy was great. It seemed like a really good turn-out to me. I bet any of the other Republican candidates would kill to attract a crowd that big in the ultra-liberal SF Bay Area.

Ron got plenty of applause for all his positions. I bet a lot of people would be surprised that his strong 2nd amendment stance got a big cheer from the Bay Area crowd, but it sure did.

Very diverse crowd age wise, but it did seem predominately white to me. That tells me Ron should seriously think about a non-white male as a running mate. It could add a great synergy to the campaign, in my opinion. Hurray collectivism! ;)

Edit: One neat thing Ron mentioned was that he actually got more free publicity and mileage out of his donation money by NOT spending it, than McCain got by spending a whole lot more. That's like political aikido right there. Ron Paul just tossed McCain on his face.

There is A LOT of support for Ron Paul in California! Many 'liberals' love him when they understand his libertarian policy. Just mention 'He voted against the Patriot Act' and you will have their attention.

This is my YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGfXIKHowoU) from last night (Friday July 13th) wandering around in San Diego's Gaslamp.

Sorry I messed up (didn't get the whole interview) but I have found A LOT of Ron Paul support just walking around with a Ron Paul sign and my video camera. Plus, I give out business cards or let people watch Freedom is Popular on my iPhone to get more support.

If the media wants to blackout Ron Paul lets take his signs to the street. This is how the Founding Fathers did it!

I prepared (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liQB8J_Ywnk) for and found (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhiToVtab2w) A LOT of support for Ron Paul at the iPhone launch at the AT&T store in downtown San Diego. We aren't just the Internet!

Hey empirenine, thanks for the stamp (everyone should get one!) (http://www.ronpaulstamps.com/) you dropped off last night. I am almost out of ink! Hope you enjoy the 5 signs and your sushi.

just got back from the event.

I'd estimate 1000-1200 people were at the rally. The speakers before him were great, but he really rocked the house.

I heard 30 people were at the $1k a person party last night.
The $100 lunch I was out was sold out (100 people).
I worked the campaign swag tables, we way understaffed for the onslaught of people wanting to buy overpriced t-shirts & bumperstickers. I'd guess $10-15k made there (revenue, not profit)..
Lots of local media attention... Talked to people from the town papers and San Jose Merc..

All in all, a very good day for Ron Paul and the campaign. I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout, I really have hope he can win Santa Clara county (California is not a winner take all primary).

I was at the gathering also and it was very good. Justin was really hot in her denim short shorts. I didn't know what she was doing with that head cam but it would of been better for you guys watching if she would have just stayed still with a tripod, I'm impressed with her video streaming and I enjoyed watching her moving all over the place and squat down to get some of her shots, she was the second best person to watch. Ron was in good form. There was a professional video guy that is providing the whole talk on DVD for $15. He had a high quality 3 ccd sony camcorder with a direct mike tie in to the main mike. I failed to get the address for it, sorry. Very good talks also by the other speakers. Griffin had some good ideas to counter people saying Paul doesn't have a chance to win.

Lew says the crowd was about 1k - still, pretty awesome. If he can consistently gather crowds of 500 - 1k every city he goes to, that's pretty impressive at this stage of the race. We're building momentum!
