Thought this endorsement of Ron Paul by the Wayne Madsen Report was important. I'm pasting the article because it's a subscription website:

December 24-25, 2007 -- WMR GOP primary/Iowa caucus endorsement

WMR endorses Texas Republican Representative Ron Paul for the GOP's presidential primary and caucus candidate. Although this editor will, in all likelihood, vote for the Democratic candidate in the general election (John Edwards previously received our endorsement as the Democratic nominee), every one of the Republican candidates, save Paul, advocates the neocon line of U.S. global domination and the continuation of the American corporate-fascist-Judeo-Christian state. Some would decorate their fascist state with down-home folksy Southern Baptist trappings, while others would drive a stake into what remains of the American democratic republic.

John McCain is a tool of the neocons. His endorsement by Joe Lieberman speaks volumes about where McCain's money is coming from. Mitt Romney, the "Joe Isuzu" of American politics, is about as open about his beliefs in Mormon cultism as George W. Bush and John Kerry were about their links to the cult of morbidity, the Skull and Bones. Mike Huckabee would become America's first preacher-president. America should rid its political process of the "Christian Mullahs" and "Rabid Rabbis" and not put them and their ilk into the White House. Duncan Hunter should be serving a jail term along with his pal Randy "Duke" Cunningham. Alan Keyes belongs in Maryland's Crownsville Hospital for the Mentally Ill. Fred Thompson, who can't even play a good lawyer on TV, was summed up succinctly by President Nixon: "He's dumb as hell."

As for Rudy Giuliani, how do you spell Mafia? Not your Don Corleone, behind-the beaded-curtains pizzeria-style Mafia. Giuliani's Mafia is more at home with borscht and gefilte fish than with meatballs and spaghetti and much more dangerous: weapons and drug smuggling, nuclear proliferation, blood diamonds, casinos, unscrupulous land development, and 73 Russian and Ukrainian expat billionaire mobsters all traveling unfettered with Israeli passports.

Paul is the only candidate in the GOP lineup who is warning about the corporate fascist state in America. Ideally, his words should be echoed by the Democratic slate of candidates but the Rahm Emanuels, Steny Hoyers, and Nancy Pelosis in that party will not hear of the "F" word.

If you plan on voting in the Republican Party and caucuses, a vote for Paul is a vote against fascism and the neo-con scourge. www.waynemadsenreport.com

Great - but then he votes for Edwards...

Wayne is a brave and smart guy, but for some reason, he doesn't see the left-right dog and pony show for what it is - a fraud where "the man" always wins.

Hey Wayne, it's Ron Paul or bust - think about it some more...

Check it out, Curtisag. Wayne Madsen is a Beltway insider who publishes some truly unique investigative pieces.

From the website -- "this online publication tackles the 'politically incorrect' and 'politically embarrassing' stories, and holds government accountable for their actions. This website extends a warm open invitation to whistleblowers and leakers. Business as usual for the crooks and liars in Washington, D.C., is over."

He was supporting Mike Gravel early last year. A LOT of people read him--people that we wouldn't ordinarily reach--so this is good news.

He's been pretty involved in the 9/11 Truth Movement. Not so much as a backwoods conspiracy type, but as a leading investigative journalist asking questions about government involvement, incompetence, and possible complicity. I'm not sure what else he reports on, but I assume his distrust of government goes pretty deep. I wonder why he's so sure on John Edwards?

Mitt Romney, the "Joe Isuzu" of American politics, is about as open about his beliefs in Mormon cultism

Maybe we outta find Joe Isuzu and sponsor a Mitt negative add in NH, that would be hillarious.

The stuff WM reports on is really juicy and intense and the comments section always has some amazingly knowledgeable people who like to connect the dots. The website provides a powerful read of a great variety of topics.

Not sure about the John Edwards thing. My only take on that is WM is philosophically a Democrat. Still, his endorsement of Ron Paul for Republican nomination shows that we are supporting the right guy.

I glanced at the thread and thought it said WMUR. That got me excited for about 2seconds.

What's WMUR?

NH's broadcast tv station.

Ah...yes, that would be exciting. But this is, too. Lots of Wayne's readers were grateful for his endorsement, but others pointed to Sherry Wolf's socialist blast of Ron Paul, as if he should have read that before he endorsed Ron Paul. What a bunch of crap that was.

The majority of Wayne's readers have so much "behind the scenes" knowledge, it's really an education reading them.

As "Laja" says: "My only take on that is WM is philosophically a Democrat."
It's unfortunate, because "the lefty at heart" often colors what would otherwise be stunning and straight investigative journalism. No biggy though, old age tends to heal that affliction...

I hear you, Proemio, and you may be right about maturity enabling a bigger picture view. However, the doggedness needed to continue to dig deep and uncover the lies and coverups and the courage to put your life on the line for your beliefs requires a certain single-pointedness. If he were wizened with age, he would probably sit back and let a young person do all the investigating and reporting.

I think those of us who are Ron Paul supporters are opening up to different points of view. Many of us have nothing in common other than our love of freedom.
