When this forum crashes on 1/3, where do we go?

Almost every forum I've been involved with that has a major event goes down for quite awhile because everyone is logging onto it. So we need to make contingency plans for if/when that happens on caucus night. I'd hate to miss out on the forum-talk on that most important night. So, is there someone else who has a backup forum or chat system?

I would think if it handled the 16th ok it can handle elections ok too. If it goes down though, I guess we just won't be able to congratulate each other lol.

We're beefing up the server some and working on some other optimizations just in case (you may have noticed some changes today. :)). Also- we have a Chat room here that is on its own server that can handle a lot too.

On 12/16 the server slowed down with 3,600 people but did not crash.

Sweet. Good to hear. I'm always impressed with how you run this forum. Just wanted to make sure we have a backup plan just in case.

Previously problems began to occur at 3000.
