I found this and noticed a few things..

http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/07/13/what-if-you-held-a-debate-and-almost-no-one-came/

1. Most obviously, only 1 person showed up.

2. We didn't hear a single word about this

3. Their are only 9 podiums, not 10.

Not sure what happened here but it sure makes the GOP in general not look very good.

Did Dr. Paul even get invited to this??

I can't believe the people who scheduled this forum didn't confirm attendance before they set up the podiums.

Actually this has come up in a few threads. The first one was tuesday. I called the campaign and was told:

Scheduling conflict. RP was already scheduled to go to California on Friday and there was no way for him to be in Detroit on Thursday for the event. He DID receive the invitation to this event.

They said that they have a few other invitations to other NAACP events and are deciding which/if any RP can attend.

And to add: he has NO objection to attending any NAACP events.

Yes, his name was on the podium next to TT in the closer up picture.

But why is this not headline news?

I can't believe some people can't check the first three pages of THIS forum (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=7064) to see if topics have already been posted.

And some people wonder why others on Digg hate us.

That they set up the podiums was a conscious choice i think.

Also it could be that they were out late with the invitation. (as could be intrepeted out of the campaign message).
