John McCain, U.S. Senator

“You’re working for the most honest man in Congress.”
As told to Kent Snyder, Phoenix, AZ, 1988.

Well at least we know of one time McCain actually used real straight talk.

McCain was correct. And that's probably part of the reason that Ron is not getting elected for the GOP nomination.

How awesome would it be if during a debate, McCain attacked Paul's record or integrity and Paul responded with, "Mr. McCain, wasn't it you who, in 1988, told one of my staffers who also happens to be my current campaign manager that he was working for the most honest man in Congress?"

By the way, I personally verified the quote by asking Kent Snyder (super nice guy). He actually documented it in his Master's thesis (Georgetown University), which was about Dr. Paul's consistent Congressional voting record. His thesis is entitled America's Congressman.

I couldn't find an electronic copy. Apparently, you can only get it from the library :(
