I wonder if all those Google people went voluntary or if requested by the company to attend. Must. Know. More. Was there a standing ovation or what

As one of the few politicians against internet taxation and regulation, he should go over well.

WOW! Ron nailed google. Would any other presidential candidate have the chops to talk in detail, and so directly about so many subjects? The difference between Paul and all the other candidates is like night and day. I bet he converted 90% of the google employees that saw that interview.

I think that's an important point. Most other politicans -- and every other politican running for president -- speaks very generally and avoids specifics. Paul seems to relish discussing specifics, though, and when he's given time to flesh out his answers he really shines. I thought he did an excellent job!

Well, other politicians are just talking heads. The brains of the operation are in their staff of advisors.

Most Politicians: "Puppies are Good: I support Puppies."
Ron Paul: "Well, if you really supported puppies you'd quit nailing them to your roof."

Someone in the chat just made a comment:

Ron Paul makes a STAND, the other candidates make stances.

That will be a great help to him when the R field starts to thin out. He will have more time to explain his answers in the debates, and more people will get the full effect of why he has such loyal support. With more people starting to pay attention to the debates, this can only make his popularity skyrocket.

Its gonna start getting good kids, I can feel it.

How about getting Google to change their logo to something "Paulie" on August 20?

Contacted Google:

To whom it may concern,

I just watched the video stream of Ron Paul's Q&A at Google's headquarters here in California. It was very inspiring to see so many brilliant young minds interested in his what he has to say.

I'm a big fan of Google (even bought the book The Google Story, which is a very interesting read) and can't wait to use Google on August 20th, Ron Paul's birthday, and see the famous Google logo "paulized". (hint, hint)

Thanks, again!

Here are the other google interviews:

I'm just skimming through Clinton's interview and it's a lot of "central planning incentivetizationzing (I think should used this word) to get X accomplished."

Oh, dang. I didn't realize Google had invited other candidates before (and probably will invite more after). Still... I think he left a good impression.

any other candidate could not have been on his feet like that, the man speaks as free as a bird, agree or diasagree, imagine Ghouliani in such an arena? Bravo Dr. Paul.

There sure seems to be a lot of lefty socialists working at Google. I guess that goes with the territory given where the Google HQ is located.

Thank you much! While he didn't seem to be a RP supporter, he was very thorough with his questions, and respectful for his answers. He did seem to be shaking in agreeance many times. Perhaps his conversion has begun.

I was thinking there were a few as well. They did add a good inquiry standpoint to the interview.

Ron Paul just said that he would change "Don't ask - Don't tell." If that were any other candidate it would be an old media feature story.

He said he'd change it? I more or less gathered that he wouldn't changed it.. He said as an employer, he wouldn't ask and definately wouldn't want to know. I think he's said he thinks it a decent policy, and it goes for any sexual orientation.

What he meant about don't ask don't tell is the idea of not getting involved in the personal lives of military personel is important to keep the military functioning properly, and he likes the idea of an unofficial policy, but that the way its actually enforced is a problem.

Gee
07-13-2007, 09:09 PM
