Jesus, what a clusterfuck of a show. I can't believe he went on that program while trying to run for office. The whole show is a shouting match and he has to yell at people just to be heard. Although, I agree whole heartedly with what he said, I think that this video would be used against him if this campaign becomes more powerful.

What do you guys think? I mean, he's literally screaming for freedom at times. Its pretty amazing.

Anyone else look at the woman's shirt? Notice the symbol? Just thought it was odd.

I agree. What's the point of bringing someone on your TV show if all you're going to do is berate them, talk over them, and shout them down at every turn? It does nothing to further the discourse, and, on top of that, is pretty bad TV. If I'd been Dr. Paul, bringing unassailable logic, reason, and humanity to this debate, I would have been pretty peeved at Morton Downey's willful ignorance and pompous grandstanding myself! Under the circumstances, he's really being very restrained!

You gotta understand, Morton Downey Jr was like O'Reilly on rabies. The point of his show was entertainment and confrontation. Check out this clip of him on wally Georges show.

I have only watched the first eight minutes so far, but it's great to hear someone yelling for freedom in front of a bunch of statist apologists.

By the way, freedom gets the last laugh because Morton Downey, Jr. died from his own drug (tobacco) use.

Give that show credit for debating (or loudly arguing) difficult issues on the table in a glaring, forthright, even an honest way. O'Reilly show has no rowdy audience to jeer or cheer the guests and host.

I'm sure that many of you have seen this video. I have to say that it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Ron doesn't even get a chance to speak; he's drowned out by a bunch of white trash fools. Downey says that he wants to puke on him. And he's accompanied by two guys that look like circus escapees.

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have him on this show? Did his PR guys really think it was a good forum for Dr. Paul to express his views? He had to scream and act like a maniac in order to get noticed over those fools in the audience. Will this appearance come back and haunt him if he emerges as a top contender? What do you guys think about this?

I'm sure had Dr. Paul know better, he'd walk away and leave.

Some should make a Ron Paul video of this with the theme being "How the Zombies run Amerika". Who would want to be associated with those kind of people. Does anyody know how to make vidoes, like making videos for dummies?:)

being a 3rd party candidate, it may have been one of the few media interviews he received, probably didn't know what it was about. Without the internet 20 years ago how could anyone have heard of an alternative candidate?

That's great :) What a circus!

Congressman Paul acts like a young hothead!

Too funny.

He has mellowed over the years for sure.:D

It shouldn't be worse than the plethora of pics of Giuliani in drag. One could also ask: What was his excuse? What were his PR people thinking? It might play well in NYC, but probably not as well in Red State areas.

At least RP was trying to get his political message out there, at a time when the MSM had even more of a stranglehold in Presidential politics--and 3rd party candidates couldn't get media attention to save their lives.

IMO, the episode reflects more poorly on Downey and his Springeresque audience than on RP.

It's highly probable that there are pictures, videos, quotes, etc. from the other candidates that they would rather not have "out there". Just give it some time; if their poll numbers rise, so will the digging into past interviews, appearances, and statements.
