Bill Kristol predicts a McCain-Lieberman ticket.

This can hurt McCain in the primaries if GOP voters do not want to risk electing an IINO-Democrat to the White House on their own GOP ticket.

This is a good grassroots talking point.

Why should we pretend that Bill Kristol (a known idiot and new NYT writer) actually knows what he's talking about? The idea of a McCain Lieberman ticket is so insane it would be suicide for McCain... NO ONE like Lieberman these days!

McCain is not going to make it that far. Kristol's crystal ball is broken.

Heh, there's a scenario where Romney/Thompson/Huckabee fall in line behind Paul, McCain puts his support behind Rudy for Super Tuesday, Paul wins and McCain/Lieberman consider running independent. Until Kucinich/Richardson/Obama back Paul instead of Hillary and then Hillary offers her VP spot to McCain so he doesn't run and split the pro-war vote.

I do not dispute Kristol's idiocy but McCain can take maverick votes from Paul in the primary so the Kerry-McCain and McCain-Lieberman talk helps Paul:

This is actually a very astute prediction. However it will be on a Unity 08 ticket. Not the Republican. McCain will go independent.

I think Kristol is McCain's mouthpiece and basically the message to Republicans is "nominate me (McCain), or I'll run Independent with Lieberman". Having Lieberman on the ticket would help get some Democrats from Hillary.

This election is going to be crazy.

You mean the crystal ball that predicted Iraq was going to be a cakewalk that would only cost the US about 100 billion?

Took the words right out of my mouth. Kristol is, like his father, a Socialist, and an Israel first/America second moron.

The NYT's is a perfect fit for him
