View Full Version : ***Official*** 10,000 people in Goffstown NH Jan 6th thread

The grassroots plan in New Hampshire is pretty simple. Get as many bodies and cars into the little town of Goffstown New Hampshire before/during/after the Fox Forum. The goal is small only 10,000 people. This more of a PRO RON PAUL rally rather than an anti-fox rally.

Plans will morph with when the official campaign makes a statement about where their rally is going to take place.

If you want to show up a day early to go Door to Door visit this thread as well:
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=70734
You can also contact the Ron Paul New Hampshire HeadQuarters to help in other areas of New Hampshire and/or phonebank.
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/states/new-hampshire/canvassing-schedule/

We will start at the Liberty Forum in Nashua then make our way to the Goffstown location when the campaign announces it.

note TIME CHANGE: 1/6 12 noon. Be there a bit earlier to find parking and such! The campaign moved up his Liberty Forum Speech.
Ron Paul will be speaking at the Liberty Forum http://freestateproject.org/libertyforum
Crowne Plaza
2 Somerset Parkway
Nashua , NH 03063

This is crucial. I hope everyone goes all out. Every time we counter punch it must trump the original blow.

I just wanted to remind you guys that Ralph Nadar had about 4,000-5,000 people in his rally when he was excluded from a debate. We should at least match his number.

ItsTime

We should have that at the low side.

I suggest contacting your local meet ups. Right now too many of the other campaigns would pay people to pretend to be Ron Paul supporters promising rides and such. Then not doing it.

That is why there is no official site for this either. Too many people would make false pledges and but the numbers out of wack.

So please contact your local meet up groups for rides.

The rally won't give us 10% as much publicity as being in the forum!

The fact of the matter is the media will marginalize it and will barely cover it at all!

Such a rally would be FUN to go to and would be EXCITING! But would it do very little to spread the word to new supporters nation wide. It simply CANNOT compete with an HOUR AND A HALF forum on prime time television!

Btw, I just got off the phone with Vijay. We both want to wait to hear what the campaign tells us what they suggest we do (at least for another day or two). However, regardless of what happens, it would be beneficial to have people in or around New Hampshire on Dec. 6. We're not trying to organize a counter-rally yet, but it may happen, and regardless of that, Ron Paul will be speaking at the NH Liberty Forum (hosted by the Free State project) and many people will be there for that. If we all decide to do a rally outside of the Fox News Forum, we may be able to arrange a caravan from FSP event.

Point is: go ahead and arrange travel to New Hampshire!

Worst case scenario, you'll get to see Ron Paul at the FSP event. Best case scenario, you'll get to participate in a HUGE counter-rally or some other huge event.

Agreed... but LET IT NOT BE SAID WE DID NOTHING!

Keep calling, faxing, emailing fox and abc... We will be on the ground we need as many bodies as we can get!

I have no problem with a rally as a LAST RESORT. But we cannot stop faxing, calling, and emailing Fox News and media outlets nation wide with our OUTRAGE of Ron Paul being excluded!

If we want the message of Ron Paul to be spread far and wide we need to get him in this Fox News Forum! We can MAKE THIS HAPPEN! There are HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of us! All we have to do is unite together!

Let's show them just how "little" support Dr. Paul has!

The problem is that the media will cover the forum, but they would simply ignore a crowd of 20,000 people or even 50,000!

Remember, they HATE US and would do anything they can to marginalize us.

1) Having our own debate will not get media coverage.

2) Having a huge rally will not get media coverage.

What WILL help get the word out is getting Ron Paul into this ONE AND A HALF HOUR prime time forum!

This is a grassroots effort... Plan on being in Goffstown on the 6th NO MATTER WHAT. Until we hear of another venue and the time. Just plan on being in Goffstown early afternoon. We can not wait and hope to gather people. Two or Three days is far too late.

So you and Vijay can sit on your hands if you want but I am not.

It's Time, That's not the point. Show support for the BOYCOTT by pledging to get the numbers increasing on the site. AND the REAL BOYCOTT is NOT in refusing to watch FOX, but in REFUSING to use any products or services that make up the advertising sponsorship of FOX and NEWSCORP , Fox's parent company. I will send you a list of their sponsors, but get ready , it's a LONG LIST !!! I f we use any of these products or services by FOX sponsors, we are FEEDING THE BEAST!!! Do you see what I mean???

Guys, doesn't it look like Paul is IN the ABC debate. He passes their test, as I read it.

If I'm right about that, it's just the FOX Forum that we need to get changed. Right?

I think a few hundred bull horns or a PA system outside the fox forum would be great. 5-10K people out there chanting ron paul through the whole thing with it amplified so that you can hear it clearly inside the closed forum.

That might be better than an actual interview. I bet they'd just cancel the whole forum.

Just a goal. I really expect around 1,000 to 2,000. The philly rally got 5,000 with much longer and better planning. Lets just try to get as many people here as we can :) My guess is there will be 1000+ people just from New Hampshire.

I'm not saying don't do something. I'm saying start thinking smart.

A protest is not going to help get the Ron Paul message out to voters of NH.

This is what nobody understands. Most of New Hampshire is registered Independent voters. They will not be polled. Only the old f*art republicans will be polled. But the Independent voters of New Hampshire can vote in either primary and they can decide the day of the primary whether they are going to vote Democrat or Republican.

Do you understand me?

Ron Paul could win New Hampshire with the Independent vote.

The campaign has tons of money to put out tv campaigns. They need to do this.

They could even use this to their advantage. The New Hampshire flag says "Don't Tread on Me." That would be a great marketing campaign.

But, you guys, if you really want to go to New Hampshire, go there to work the phones and go door to door talking to people. Look good and give the Independent voters Ron Paul's message.

A protest is not going to do anything useful.

At a high level, it seems that we have the following operating principles:

Primary Objective: Get tremendous positive exposure for Ron Paul on 1/6 (and after)
Secondary Objective: Minimize the effectiveness of the Fox Forum

Obviously, if we can accomplish both, that's a bonus, but clearly the one is much more important than the other.

For the primary objective, I love the idea of the Ron Paul Presidential Motorcade, that's been suggested in these forums. I think it will generate a ton of awareness among the voters, and get NH folks talking about Ron Paul. We can then end the motorcade at the Fox bus, where we can accomplish the secondary objective.

Thoughts?

Google "Goffstown veterinary" and call up to see if they have kennels for your pup. Many pet hospitals do offer boarding services. Call around.

There's something brewing... some of our NH State Reps are just as peeved about this as we are...

I haven't been given the go-ahead to make anything public yet so I won't.
I think they're giving Fox one last chance to save face (for the life of my I don't know why)

Route 114, on the way to St. Anselm's is now covered in McCain and Romney signs of all sizes.
It sucks because I have to drive that stretch of road at least 10 times a day.

Manchester/Goffstown could really use a sign bombing

Like now!

ItsTime

McCain has paid someone to dump signs all over the place. You can tell they were paid because they are on all the same side of the exit ramps. (all on the south exit ramp going north and north going south)

There are 1000s of cars that use an exit ramp near my house... All the McCain signs are on the exit ramp no one uses... it is pretty funny actually.

I'm quoting this post for obvious reasons. I've got a warning so I can't say what I want to say about this user.
