View Full Version : Blimp for New Years - $10 - 2,000 people

First, let me say that I'm one of the people that originally donated to the blimp, and left after some things went awry.

However, *only* 2,000 people need to give $10 to raise the money to keep the blimp flying another 2.5 weeks. That seems well worth it to me, and I'm willing to donate ten dollars. It just generated publicity in Houston on the front page where it isn't even flying. Furthermore, it will be a little disappointing to have it end on New Years Eve. It may even generated some bad publicity if it fails right before the Iowa caucus. In fact, it seems to me it would be fun to donate to it on New Years Eve.

Seems well worth it. Only 2,000 people need to donate $10.

Edit: Only 1,300 people need to give $10.

I am still amazed they haven't added paypal or credit card checkout...

Then why does Google Checkout ask for things like phone number... ("Required for account verification. ") Account verification? What's to verify... my name isn't in this because it is a gift card.

edit: I may have found something... I'll post again if I'm still confused.
