Well, this might be the Howard Dean style moment that sends evangelicals away from Huckabee just a couple days before the Iowa caucus.
At a press conference, he attempted to pull a phony "Turn the other cheek" moment but his acting skills didn't stop the press from seeing his tricks.

Be sure to watch the video to see this meltdown of a press conference.

It's getting to be pretty hard to be a Huckabee apologist these days. There's only so many times you can justify this guy's mis-steps before realizing he just isn't presidential material.

Yep. He is just better at it. I think Romney believes some of his own press releases.

Huckabee is so Huckiavellian. He actually reminds me of the slimy President, Charles Logan, from the Fifth Season of 24.

If you don't have any money to run ads, how do you get your ad out to the public?

My thought exactly. This slimeball must go down. Hopefully after NH he will go home.

He didn't seque into the "and just so you believe we actually ahd a commercial, HERE IT IS!" part very smoothly at all. Very transparent.

Basically what he did is:
1. he saved money by not running the ad (questionable that he even has money to run those ads to begin with)
2. Gets to show it off to national audience anyway- through reporters present at the conference- and for free at that.
3. tried to look like the better man (while smearing the opponent anyway)

He must think all people are as stupid as his followers and will not see through the sleaziness of this tactic. The first taste of the response was room full of laughter from the reporters who saw the tactic the second he finished his sentence. Once they report on this event, the rest of the country will know who Huckabee really is- a sleazy snake oil salesman.

“If a man’s dishonest to obtain a job, he’ll be dishonest on the job,” Huckabee says in the ad.

The irony is that Mike Huckabee made the above statement.

I almost want to see the ad now. The laughing reports has my whole household laughing... My two year old started laughing and asked what was so funny. I said the man told a funny lie. But its not good to lie and that is why the people are laughing.

Thank you Mike Huckabee for allowing another chance to teach my child about honesty.

Some "Christian leader" he is. Here's a lesson he skipped over during one of his sermons:

Be careful not to do your acts of righteousness before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

This is a PLANNED GIG by "Ed Rowland" He's good at wheeling and Dealing scheme... Accolades, Kinder, Sympathetic, Humor... PRESS COVERAGE...

Ed's No Dumbo, kinda a Wiz at campaign marketing... there are motives, visible & hidden.

I'd say they're all worried of RP gaining each hour till Jan 3rd on all of them. This don't want a HOWARD "THE LOSER" DEAN Syndrome!

I especially enjoyed the way he hid behind John McCain, with the whole, "You can pick on me all you want, but leave my boy McCain alone!" Like Huckleberry is McCain's mom or something. I am quite sure John McCain doesn't need the likes of the Rev. Huckabee to take up for him.

Then how exactly did Bush get elected twice, even with the help of voter fraud..

Notice all of the dumbshit comments on the linked page.

Lol that was truly pathetic. Huckabee was the fat kid who got picked on in school and has never gotten over it. He's not only a coward and phony, but he has a lot of anger built up inside him. He CANNOT take criticism at all. Mitt is totally dismantling him.

This quote from welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com remind anybody of someone?

"In an age of spin, al-Sahaf offers feeling and authenticity. His message is consistent -- unshakeable, in fact, no matter the evidence -- but he commands daily attention by his on-the-spot, invective-rich variations on the theme. His lunatic counterfactual art is more appealing than the banal awfulness of the Reliable Sources. He is a Method actor in a production that will close in a couple of days. He stands superior to truth."
