Someone in another forum is saying that we shouldn't be surprised to see Ron Paul run as an Independent. I've been searching for specific information, regarding these state laws that would prevent him from doing so if he had the intention of doing so, but I am coming up empty handed. Does anyone have more information? :)

Ron probably WILL run 3rd party.

I've heard that there are sore loser laws in some states that would prevent him from getting on the ballot, but I've never seen them myself.

There are no practical restrictions. Most "sore loser" laws don't apply to president -- the rest wouldn't survive a court challenge. If Paul wants to accept a third party nomination (e.g. LP), he should be able to get on virtually all state ballots.
