I watched the Ralph Nader video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyvVQYf6XWk )...... I couldn't help but think this is what they are trying to do Ron Paul.

So, I was thinking no Ron has this or that that Ralph didn't...... money, internet, etc.

What do you think?

Did the video get you thinking?

What could Ron do to avoid this?

Ralph Nader has been around since the 70's.....

He was a "consumer advocate" guy before he got into socialist politics!

There was even a "Sanford & Son" episode from the 70's where a guy was going to complain to Ralph Nader about something or another.

One thing Ron Paul has that Ralf Nader did not is Ron Paul has wide spread support in every state of this union.

Times are different too.
Ron Paul is not fighting against a Gore either.
And W isn't running either.

All in all, the people are much more "AWAKE" now than they were before 6 years of war (remember Afghanistan before Iraq?), Guantanamo, Patriot Act, 911 conspiracy theories (which, imho, just served as an eye opener for government dishonesty, if nothing else) ... and the truth about WAR FOR OIL.

That makes people want an ALTERNATIVE.
Sure, i voted for Nader, but i was one of the 1% ... and my friends yelled at me for not supporting Gore.

However now, there really is no better "alternative" than Ron Paul (unless you really think Obama is 'alternative', or believe Kucinich has a chance, lol) ...

but seriously,
we all know Ron Paul has a chance becaus people are sick of it al, and ready for REAL CHANGE based on constitutional law and power to the PEOPLE.

:D

I know what you are talking about I never realized he was ousted from the debate bewtween Bush and Gore......

I'm wondering how many people still do not know about Ron Paul......we all know because we are in it......but there are people out there still saying....... Ron who?

Ralph is nothing new, socialism is fully embedded in the Democratic party, so he gets no traction. Ron Paul is something new, because Republicans have forgotten their roots and what it means to be a true conservative.

What does Ron have that Ralph didn't????

An understanding of economics and respect for the Constitution. I respect guys like Ralph Nader, Michael Moore and Noam Chomsky because they are able to see what's wrong and aren't afraid to talk about it, but they don't have a clue about the solution. It's much easier to talk about what's broken than it is to fix it.

Two things:

Ron Paul appeals to a segment of the population that has long been ignored in American politics. Nader was just an offshoot of liberalism.

Web 2.0 technologies -- YouTube, Meetup, Facebook, MySpace, forums, etc., plus more people having high speed access to be able to use them.

Ron Paul has: The message, is a member of a major political party (I hate to say it but this is key), and he doesn't spend days on end whining about how unfair it is that he was ignored or excluded or what not, and he has us. We do the complaining for him :) .

I also liked what Ralph Nader had to say on his video, especially about there being no difference between the two parties Dem. and Rep.

I think the main difference in support is due to more people waking up and wanting a different way. They are sick and tired of the old paradigm. People are ready for the message.

I think eventually all the pro freedom people will work together.

This is obvious as RP has been speaking the same message for decades. Why listen now?

Ironically 7 years of a tyrranical government in the U.S has brought people to the point of demanding great change.
