View Full Version : Would Fred Thompson make a good VP?

As a VP, he wouldn't have to do much. (Just a thought since he's so "lazy".) He seems to be a milder version of Ron Paul (except on his stance on foreign policy). Assuming Fred Thompson does poorly in Iowa and Ron Paul does well, do you think there is a chance he would back Ron Paul if he was given the VP spot?

Or is Fred Thompson too much of a "party" guy to do that?

A Fred Thompson VP would really wake up those die hard Republicans to join Ron Paul methinks. Or am I just being a loon?

remember the VP takes over if RP is assassinated. The VP needs to be someone the Elites fear even more than RP.

haha, the only thing that would get him a VP is him being so lazy. Otherwise, in a more realistic light, no way!

eh, I was just looking for the "bump" factor. My fear is that as the other candidates drop out, their voters will bump for candidates not named Ron Paul.

It would be nice if one of the dropees would get behind RP.

That being said, RP may not need a bump because I know A LOT of people taking the "wait and see" approach on Ron Paul. If they see him do well, they will vote for him (because who doesn't like Ron Paul once you hear him?). If Ron Paul doesn't do well early, they will look elsewhere.

Ron Paul needs a much younger VP candidate. Plus Fred Thompson wants to bring back the million man military and is definitely pro-intervention.

oh, i understand now. in that case, he is the logical choice, as he is the least worst. actually, as a regular guy or actor, very nice, but still, his politics are spoiled, and probably not Dr Paul's choice. i still wonder if there is a good person among us to run for VP.

?????

That reminds me of Dave Chappelle.
"If i were the first black president i woudn't be scared of being assassinated....Because my Vice President would be Mexican." ahahahahah i love that

But i don't really like Fred and some of his ideas. Mostly the war.

Fred's to weak. He may be slightly more life-like than our current Vice President, but he won't bring any thing to the campaign. All the pro-war people will vote for Hillary is Ron Paul gets the nomination.

Fred Thompson is a CFR member and another NeoCon liar. If something would happen to Paul, Thompson is in charge. No way.

What? A milder version of Ron Paul?
He's a big-government, gun-grabbing, socialist Neo-con.

I don't think Dr. Paul would consider ANY of the current crop of candiates as running mates, since he's already said he couldn't even support any of them with his vote unless they significantly changed their policies.

When RP gets in office, he is going to have to hit the road running. He is going to need an effective wingman by his side. There's lots of work to be done to undue the damage that has been done in the U.S. over the past decades. Fred Thompson is dead weight. RP needs someone who is like minded and energetic and has the same goals (or at least the important ones) as RP. This next Vice President needs to be a energetic and active one. He is going to have some work to o!

No. He's burned out.

Ron Paul should pick "The Judge" as his running mate.

Fred Thompson as Ron Paul's VP would get our guy killed is first month in office, and after him, the deluge.
