"The Ron Paul Blimp ground crew and pilots will then have the rest of the New Years day off to enjoy!"

Can you guys EVER get this thing in the air for a full day? 1/2 a day or days not in the air seem to be much too much the norm. :(

I'm not sure, but i believe the blimp lease is limited both in overall duration (one month) and flight time (100 hours)

edit: Looks like it was bumped to 160 hours: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showpost.php?p=463115&postcount=14, 5 hours a day for 32 days

So you work 24/7? The blimp crew need a day off now and again. I'm sure there are federal regulations on how many hours the pilot can fly too for safety reasons.

OMG Man!!!!!!!!! The blimp, per contract, can only fly 6 hours per day! It might even be an FAA rule!

Dec. 31st is and has always been a day off for the blimp crew. . . . and hell, I don't disagree with that at all. The blimp crew needs some time off.

The 1st was supposed to be a day off by contract as well. AMS is flying for us a half day when they were not even supposed to fly at all.
