I don't understand why they don't use PayPal. I mean seriously. They'd get at least $10,000 in new sponsorships the day after they set it up.

Or they could get all crazy and set up their own merchant account so people could just punch in their credit card numbers.

Merchant accounts are expensive. Google is free, and more secure for the cardholder than a merchant account.

PayPal is a scam.

You got a credit card, vad?

That's all the Google Pay thing is, a way to input your credit card number, name as it appears on a card, e-mail address... All the things you'd have to type in if they had a merchant account, anyway.

The Google payment username and password just fills in those blanks for you.

I don't really understand what the objections are to this system? I've used it for several blimp donations and it's trivial... What's the problem?

Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on Google Checkout. You can use your credit/debit card there. It is totally secure - as secure as anything is on the internet I guess.

Bump - I'm absolutely dead serious about this...
