It's very personal...

Someone turn this in to a short and very simple interactive DVD...

I like it, but I think he should have thought out exactly what he was going to say so he isn't stuttering or searching for the right word.

however, thats how he always is. he speaks like a normal person. he doesn't have polished speeches and try to convince you by how well he speaks, he convinces you by you listening to what he's saying and realizing he is right. :)

Meh. He isn't polished, isn't that what we like about him?

Yeah, I don't mind when he pauses to search for the right word, but I'm just a little worried about what other people might think. I know some people vote based on who they think "looks" the most presidential.

I'm not sure how I feel about it.

The way they executed it technically is very cool.

But I'm split on whether or not he should have done it off the cuff like this.

It really is important to be an effective communicator on these issues pages. Americans want someone who sounds confident and who demonstrates a thorough and precise understanding of the issues.

On the other hand, this does capture his personality better. I just don't think that's as important though.

I've seen Paul act, he isn't good. Remembering statements is Thompson's gig.

Yeah I agree - This is who Dr Paul is and we love him because he isn't some plastic politician.

Another amazing component of an incredible website. He has by far the best site of any candidate!

I've heard this was an effective tool of the Perot campaign. Now, can we get these on tv. Can we compress these into 1:00 radio spots and/or :30 tv spots.

Maybe this could be THE primary material for the much touted infomercial!

Looks pretty good to me. The more people who see/hear Dr. Paul the more will join the revolution.

I like it, the concept and implementation is great.

But like a lot of you I think it should be more polished, NOT scripted though. Dr. Paul should have (and still could) look over his initial video response, collect his thoughts and do it again.

Sometimes it might have to be done more than once but in the end it'd probably come off much more stronger, still sincere, but more collected.

Some of the pages are really good the way they are, though.

AND, I kind of think he needs to address more issues in the intro. Atleast recognize them as important to him. He needs to show that he directly cares about them right than, even if it just means listing them.

Hopefully HQ will do a few more takes and polish it up. [Could someone get this concern to them?] We need to think about the millions of voters that will come across the site when Ron Paul shocks in Iowa and New Hampshire.

EDIT: Like it's been posted in previous threads, he should get some solid figures on areas like the income tax to convince people he does have a solid plan and he'll come off stronger.

The environmental one was choppy too..but he goes alot into the money issue on the first one, and I think the idea of the whole set up was awesome. He also did not say "you know" at ALL in the ones I watched. He still needs to work on "uhs", but I thought it was mostly fantastic.

We need a way to download an entire copy of this somehow to use with a laptop when tabling w/out internet access.

Or a DVD version?
