Looks like the community is finally coming together again. :)

If the blimp does go down, what will happen to any leftover cash? I hope there is 100% transparency.

It should go straight to the campaign.

The blimp needed to hit 400k by the end of today, but unfortunately, we have failed to reach this amount. Because of this, the blimp will officially be finished tomorrow. That is unless the community maraculously raises 45k by tomorrow...

Who are you?

Can't the owner suck-up the loss? It ain't much..sheesh. Some 'Ron Paul Supporter' he turned out to be.

Actually, the total needed now is only $41,995.

That's only $83.99 for 500 people.

Surely, we can find those 500 patriots tomorrow!

Can someone start a pledge drive to find 500 people willing to donate $83.99?

If your credit card company says that your payment is due by December 31st, that doesn't mean that you only have until the end of December 30th to pay. It means your payment better arrive before the END of December 31st.

So we've got one more day to do this.

I can go to the Live Video Feed anytime tomorrow and NOT see the words "Not Broadcasting check back soon!" on EITHER of the live feeds.

Miracles? No Problem, remember this is the Ron Paul Revolution we're talking about.

That just makes NO sense at all.

See this post...http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=68405&highlight=blimp

Too many blimp threads...
I have even seen posts stating that the blimp will make it to south florida for the debate near the end of january too.
So which is it, are they broke or what?

Who are you?

Take a look at this...

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/search.php?searchid=1008116

Now ask yourself that same question. There are some good posts in there....but it is peppered with posts like this...

....if you have a problem with a thread or user...just flag it.

There is no need to have post after post like this or the others you stamp.

Just take it easy ;) or at lease kill the size....it almost seems like you yourself are trying to get attention...

Not to worry... the 12/31 deadline is just a marketing ploy by Trevor to get your attention.

This happens every week or two and they have never raised the money they needed by the deadline but always get a pass from the friendly blimp owner at the last minute.

AFAIR, there were only 2 deadlines so far - 1st was met.

Priceless logic here.

The Blimp costs. It has far more paid for itself in the media coverage earned thus far, and it has done so while consistently in the red.

The fact that a supposed Ron Paul supporter would claim that someone should "suck-up a near 50,000.00 loss betrays the logic of those who seek to demean the blimp and the very good work of those who have got it in the air and are seeking to keep it afloat.

Blimp. Blimp. Blimp.

PeteHe has already said he would fly for 160hrs instead of the usual 100 hr, he is doing his share, they have a business to run and people to pay. This is ridiculous. It only takes 40,000 people x $10 per month to keep this blimp flying.

How much should he suck up to be a real Paul supporter? $500? $5,000? $10,000? $50,000? $200,000?

The blimp is one of the most effective PR tools the campaign has for getting Ron Paul's NAME out in front of the American people. I think it is pretty clear that the national media isn't going to be of much help. Want to circumvent those blankety-blanks at FOX News??? Want to see Dr. Paul on board his own blimp in South Carolina? Fund the blimp! NO OTHER CANDIDATE has anything like it!

Are you a spokesman for the blimp? didn't think so.

Agreed. There are way too many people making official-sounding, absolute statements about a private company. There should be some disclosure, for the benefit of the customer, if someone works for the company in an official (i.e. paid) or unofficial (i.e. volunteer) capacity. Otherwise, customers will be confused and it may lead to a reduction in consumer confidence.

At this point the only people who have met this criterion are McKarnin, Blimp Media Coordinator, Elijah, and Trevor.

Make sure all the Ron Paul supporters you know who DON'T hang out on Ron Paul Forums are aware that the blimp needs money!!!! If they don't hang out here, they have no idea it's in dire need of cash.

I tried to post this in Grassroots Central, but it got moved immediately.

I don't think he should suck up anything. . . in fact, he has given us a lot of time extensions. A mere 30K can be raised so I think the blimp should be continued even if we don't reach it all by tonight.

Like it or not we are responsible for the blimp! The naysayers need to stop interfering.

Remember November 5th there were those against that too!
