We have reached our goal of $1,000.00.

The contract is signed and payment has been made.

We still have until 2 pm Monday to decide on the ad slogan. As of now our contract states "Ron Paul 2008.com" will be skytyped over the Rose Bowl Parade or the Rose Bowl college game which starts at 1:30.

If anyone has another suggestion please submit up to 20 or so letters.

I know things are moving really fast with the campaign right now and our energies really need to be focused on canvassing and raising money for the campaign.

As such, I truly wish to thank all those who donated to this project on such short notice.

Up to a million people will see this ad too, so I will thank you on their behalf.

Like I said, that's good, but I don't know because it is used by everyone... and RP isn't like the normal candidate.

Well I say either one of these:

"Ron Paul for president"

"Ron Paul - Hope for U S A"

We originally selected ronpaul2008.com because the shorter the slogan, the longer it stays visible in whole. We were told we could use any amount of letters we wanted but anything over 20 starts to loose it's visibility as an entire slogan.

At this point I like Ron Paul For President.

I agree. They may initially think that they've never heard of him and its some crock. However it is that first association. When a friend or co-worker mentions them the next time the initial skepticism will be largely gone and Ron Paul's candidacy will have been independently verified in their heads at the same time.

Yeah, it really says it all -

- says who he is, what he's doing, what we want people to do - vote for Ron Paul (which, if they don't know him, they wouldn't know for "what")

has no probably hard to get right "period" in it - people can find the campaign site easily enough ect

"Ron Paul For President" says it all.

Ron Paul for President is what we want.

The very peculiar nature of the message will be what prompts people to check it out. People need to know his name and know what hes running for, thats all. The gimmick and curiosity will do the rest.

test --

1. go into any restaurant, mall, busy place
2. walk up to total strangers
3. ask them if they know who Ron Paul is.
4. Then tell them, because they won't have a clue.

we still need massive amounts of name recognition marketing!

Using "2008" seems redundant. Using "4" instead of "for" is two less letters and still gets the message across. You could probably get away with leaving off the 4 and have just "Ron Paul President".

I also like "Paul 4 President" or "Dr Paul 4 President".

America Loves Ron Paul is nice, but doesn't tell anyone who he is or why his name is in the sky. Folks watching the Rose Bowl football game aren't going to remember much about it by the time the game is over.

Ron Paul 4 President is, I think the most effective static message.

The phone number idea could generate some viral media coverage if there is a buzz about the mystery, but it would be an opportunity lost for name recognition/awareness if it fails to generate the viral media. It seems risky for a one shot opportunity.

I think Ron Paul 4 President is best.

Wow, some really good ideas folks, thank you.

At this point, we believe we will KISS this with: Ron Paul For President.

There were several excellent ones and we are very intrigued with the phone number idea.

Okay, please remember we kinda got lucky on this one. The skytyping event was already planned with 10 other advertisers and we were able to slide into another spot for the 1k. Normally, an advertiser will buy an entire day at 10k with 10 seperate ads that encircle a city. Keep in mind the 10 seperate ad's can all be the same or each one can be different.

For example, if the blimp is not going to be in NH, we could purchase the day and fly 10 ads using all the excellent ideas posted here.

This company is based in Las Vegas, but operates out of LA and NY. The farther away from these bases, the more expensive it gets.

We have been quoted a price for Super Bowl Sunday which is 20 ads, over the two day weekend and a few other perks. The cost is 56k. I am not sure this is cost effective and feedback is welcome.

We could plan an event for NH primary if there is interest.

I am also going to get a list of already planned events for the next few months of which we might be able to slide into again for the 1k figure.

Let us know what you guys think and we will go from there.

Thanks to all that donated and to all the creative ideas.
