On Wednesday, July 11, 2007 the House passed HR.2900 without allowing the Ron Paul (R-TX) amendments to protect dietary supplements. Representatives Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), John Dingell (D-MI), Henry Waxman (D-CA), and others falsely proclaimed that they were doing America a favor by passing this sweeping FDA-supported legislation that grants the rouge agency more power and money, and even transforms it into a quasi drug company.
*******
Notice, too, that this sellout crosses party lines and involves both Democrats and Republicans. Only one Congressman, Rep. Ron Paul (a Libertarian-leaning Republican), was attempting to introduce meaningful amendments that would protect the interests of the people. His efforts were blocked by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat.

You know it. When we donate, we really have to ask ourselves: How much is my freedom worth to me?

This adds another large base to mine for RP supporters. We should start a campaign to start emailing all the supplement companies to include this story along with Ron Paul's fight for them in the newsletters they send to their membership. It would be a VERY EASY sell and there are tons of people who rely on nutritional supplements and superfoods as part of their daily intake. These laws are just helping our cause.

not if these laws make us drop over from malnutrition, but i agree, people who are interested in supplements and real food love Ron Paul when they learn what he wants to do to protect them.

yes, for now we can. the FDA is trying to prevent it, however, along with big pharmaceutical companies
read articles at:
www.wellnessresources.com/newsroom/index.php/content

the FDA is making things more and more difficult, and have political support
another thing to look into is the NAIS
www.libertyark.net
www.farmandranchfreedom.org
www.arkansasanimalproducers.8k.com

we should keep our eye on the problems concerning nutritional supplements, and farming Ron Paul is interested in these issues and is ready to act on them

This does not mean we should give up!!!
find out more, and contact senators and congresscritters regularly.
We cannot make any progress in anything if we become ill. Food and alternative health care and supplements are vital!!! Ron Paul understands this and is ready to act. We need to take action as well!

Have you good people seen the documentary The Future of Food?

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6650072523434751702

If you're not familiar with it, you might check it out. Mainstream media isn't reporting on this stuff either, and it's pretty important.

Thanks! I have had earlier chances to see this, but never really watched it before. We must ensure our food is REALLY food, and not something else.

here is another video, and this one is about food, and food supplements, and the problems with codex alimentarius, from someone who understands the issues
at google video, type in nutricide
