This is going to get turned around on us if this guy is organizing it. I have nothing against him but he does have a reputation that the media could use against us.

Who is this, and why does it matter? I signed because of what the pettition was for, not because of who made it, and if the media attacks us for that, we should slam them.
It's like saying "Hitler likes pie, so if you like pie your a Nazi".

Don't be stupid, Alex is a American citizen just like anyone else. There's no way the media can spin this without hurting themselves more.

good catch.

Presidential campaigns make sure every I is dotted and T crossed and this is one of those things that just needs to be taken care of. While I am not saying we need to be as pc as the other groomed candidates it would be smart to use some common sense.

Good or bad publicity?

BAD.

They already tried to demonize his connection to Alex Jones and it backfired. I do not believe they will try it again.

Oh, I can see them trying again. It might be good for a member of the Ron Paul campaign to start a petition instead of Alex Jones. I think Alex is meaning well here, but he is not really helping by starting this petition.

Alex Jones is right on this one.

No doubt, but that doesn't mean we need to be wrapped up with him.

Hah, they will NOT mess with this Alex Jones connection, AJ himself has a small army of listeners, and many RP supporters are listeners. To try and go after this little detail first of all is making mountains out of molehills, and secondly again trying to equate supports to RP, which has already sucessfuly been defended.

They lost that battle 2 or 3 times very recently, they will not try again. It makes then look worse, it makes them look like sore losers.

I dont usually listen to AJ, but lately he has been getting great guests and good discussions. I think he is getting more mainstream.

The neocons hate him so he is ok in my book and they must be afraid of him. If they totally ignored him then you would know he is way off base.
