Would you donate $1000 or Max Out if 23,000+ Commited to do so also?

23,000 X $1000 is the $23 Million the campaign is asking for.

I know it's a large amount to commit to donate, but I just want to see what the poll results would be if 23,000+ would commit to donating $1000+.

RonPaulMaxOut.com is available (other variations as well) for those creative minds willing to go with it.

Edit on 12/30: Some people did the "Buy Now - Pay Later" with their credit cards on the 16th. $1000 paid over time is an option.

Edit on 1/15: I'm bringing this thread back from the dead with the upcoming MLK moneybomb on the horizon with the possibility of some people willing to consider maxing out. This is basically it. It's ALL IN time! The max each person can donate for the PRIMARY elections is $2300 total.

1000 x $1000 every hour for $1 Million an hour would be amazing. Or at least get $1 Million in the first hour (12:00 -1:00 AM ET) would be nice to see. A Million Dollar jump in the first hour might get some people to push all in.

If the moneybomb people can just plant this seed in the minds of the supporters maybe some will really consider donating $1000 or max out.

This is an interesting idea... I'll float the idea with non-maxed-out relatives...

All we need is 10000 people to donate 2300 each

It's not a matter of if I'd "like" to donate. If I had the money I'd be maxed out by now. I'm however giving as much as I can to the campaign and living off ramen as a result.

I clicked submit before I had my thoughts all typed out.

I know some people did the "Buy Now...Pay Later" on the 16th.

Meaning they maxed out via credit cards to pay off over the next few months or year. I know debt isn't the best way to go, but it's a thought for those that can make payments over time.

i think the 1k target is good enough for many who are serious about this. and then let the others who can't afford it, just hop in with their own sized contribution. my guess there will be a few thousands who are as serious enough about this to ask them to donate $1000,-.

"our country has been sold out, now we can buy it back" :D nice slogan? :p

I think the Ron Paul campaign is expecting big things in Iowa + NH that will bring in new support and new donors so there may be many people donating after the Iowa results bring Ron Paul 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

Yeah, $1000 isn't something everyone can part with easily. Though some would if many others would as well possibly.

Nice slogan :D

I didn't expect the top amount to be in the lead so I'm pleasantly surprised. It could get interesting if this could get implemented.

Any amount is awesome, $500 is HUGE especially for someone in your income bracket and I wouldn't want people to get into financial hardships by doing this.

If there are people who feel they can take on the challenge, afford to do it, possibly "Buy Now and Pay Later" by spreading it over time.

For those that have donated or plan to donate on credit cards to pay over time, if you want to save on interest, considering transfering your debt to another card that offers a low introductory rate for transfers.

This is an awesome idea.

I'm going to promote it pretty heavily at The Paulunteer. Does anybody have some ideas to add before I post about it?

With a little promotion and a few big name grassroots players ie: Trevor Lyman, I'm sure it could convince at least 5000 people to do it if not the full 23,000. Although, since the campaign is close to $1 million already, only 22,000 x $1000 is needed. Some donating $2300 can knock that number down even further.

I would really like to see $1 Million in the first hour of the MLK day moneybomb. That could bring the media into it early in the morning news and throughout the day.

This would be something I would have to discuss with the wife. Can't just give an answer, but it is quite possible.

Yes, please ask your partners before commiting this large of an amount. We wouldn't want to cause any problems in anyone's marriage. :o
