"Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country."

I know it was used in an ad that Ron Paul made to get elected in Congress a decade ago, but does anyone have the source where Reagan said it?

Thank you very much.

for some reason I keep thinking it was when Ron Paul was awarded something back then....I could be way off.

Not 100% but if this was "who wants to be a millionaire" I would with certainty say it was in the late 70s/early 80s when Ronald Reagan came down to Texas to campaign for Paul as a "thank you" for him being only one of 4 or so congressman to endorse him in 76.

Can confirm that it is pre-1996. Not much help, but something...

Since it is on his Congressional campaign website in Texas, you might want to ask those guys.

Just sent an e-mail on his House page, didn't think of that.

Thank you.
