This is a massive article with survey results. A long read.

Huckabee, Giuliani and Fred Thompson did not reply.
See, all campaigns are a little incompetent. ;)

The refusal by some candidates to answer the questions drew a rebuke from Representative Ron Paul, the Texas Republican who has made strict adherence to the Constitution a centerpiece of his campaign.

"What are they trying to hide?" Paul asked. "Why are they embarrassed to answer the questions?"

Oh, I read an article about Mitt Romney's answers which were terrifying, even Orwellian. I think he could even be as despotic as Giuliani.

I have recently held Romney higher in my books than Mr. Iraq but not this changed my mind.

I know I was thinking Bush 2.0 the whole time I was reading his answers......... but I truly think this is more political posturing than anything. There is no way Romney would ever be more despotic than Giuliani who is Bush on 1000 steroids.

Romney is a smart man. He knows Bush's legacy is in the dumpster partially because of his overuse of executive power and aggressive foreign policy. Even though he wants the power, he does not want history books to look at him the same way they will look at Bush. I cannot say this about Giuliani.

Its sad when our only check on executive power is what Presidents think concentration of power will do to their legacy.

Both Romney and the Ghoul give me nightmares....but on the bright side, that Peter Shane guy they quote was my administrative law professor, kinda cool to see the mention.

He has had to flip-flop as far right as he can to get as many votes as possible.
