I almost did this evening. dude said I had to get a permit from the university.

I had read this (http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/pruneyard.html) this morning and was feeling cocky so I was a smart ass and he called in his blue suits to arrest me. I split before they got there.

opinions ?

yes, you could have....find spots that are free speech zones, or just ask someone, probably in the administrative building, for permission

Sheds a little light on the issue. I taught at SHSU, where a preacher-guy was arrested and his conviction upheld. While it's ultimately infringing on our rights, it would probably be best for you to ask where the "free speech" zones are and stick there.

is a link.... This wasn't the usual guy that comes to campuses in the South, but I would always take my class to visit them and have them write an essay on rhetoric. :)
