I've been a fan of Ron Paul for years and actually emailed him through his site the last couple of years on various occasions begging him to run. I'm glad he got in the race. You can thank me later. :D

I feel like I was raised with him, my mother talked about him so much. So, for me, well over 20 years.

For about 25 years. I "found" him when I was in high school and he was in Congress (probably about 1981). He was instrumental in my finding my philosophical home. My friends and I all happily voted for him in 1988.

Same for me, although I've heard the phrase "Dr. No" for years now, I never really looked into him.

Discovered him ~1983 soon after moving to Texas. Registered Republican and voted for him for the US Senate nomination in 1984. My first Republican vote.

I just kept hearing about this so-called great politician named Ron Paul on the internet. I was like, "Yeah right, a politician with morals and values, thats a laugh" so I just kept ignoring him. Then one day I read an article about him, and I couldn't believe my own eyes. A politician, none-the-less a Republican, who never flip flopped and always upheld the constitution. That moment I was hooked and I wanted to know more about him.

I think that Ron Paul will surprise a lot of people in this election. Most people, like myself, have only heard of him in the last couple of months. The great thing about this "Ron Paul Revolution" is that it has awakened countless Americans to how politicians used uphold the law. This will likely cause a ripple effect throughout society so that even if Ron Paul loses this election, he has still made an everlasting impact on the way people perceive politics.

I grew up in his district where to many he is somewhat of a local/urban legend, I remember the grumbles when we were gerymandered. My parents always plugged him to friends and family, I grew up ideologically aligned (though they have changed somewhat with age and in reaction) and have been doing the same since '96.
