View Full Version : Enlist Olbermann to Fight Fox?

A very interesting concept for combatting Fox's exclusion of Paul in the NH forum was brainstormed in DailylPaul, below. Maybe a huge NH Town Hall for Paul could be scheduled by MSNBC in direct conflict with the timing for the Fox Forum:

Let's find out if Keith Olbermann is for real.
On December 29th, 2007 Jonny Verdorben says:

Please refrain from contacting the NH GOP - it appears that it is not their fault, at this time.

The NH GOP may not have made the decision to exclude him (although that's not necessarily clear), but Ron Paul is a member of the republican party and the NH GOP should be fighting to INCLUDE him in the debate, not standing back and shrugging, saying "it's out of our hands, folks." BS.

My suggestion is Let's see if Olbermann is for real.

A lot of people love Keith Olbermann but personally I consider him just another Establishment Media newsreader/sportscaster. He does get things right sometimes, I'll admit that. However, Olbermann and MSNBC are in a very public feud with Bill O'Reilly and foxnews. I would recommend sending an eMail describing the situation to Olbermann and Dan Abrams (Abrams is programming director or something at MSNBC) and see if Olbermann and Abrams use this decision to exclude RP as an excuse to bash foxnews some more. If they do, Olbermann and Abrams deserve at least some credit. If they don't that will be the end of Olbermann's self promotion and grandstanding as "the voice of the little guy."

eMail addresses for Olbermann and Abrams are:

keith.olbermann@msnbc.com, keith.olbermann@nbcuni.com, countdown@msnbc.com
dan.abrams@msnbc.com, dan.abrams@nbcuni.com
Cc: viewerservices@nbcuni.com

The standard eMail format for MSNBC on-air "talent" is
firstname.lastname@msnbc.com /or/ firstname.lastname@nbcuni.com (use both)

I like this idea. Keith loves to attack Fox.

Oberlman hates Ron Paul, so that is not going to work.

MSNBC doesn't think that we're a large enough force to impact them via their sponsors yet.

CNN is a better avenue I think, but I'm not sure that will even work.

<sigh> What a frikken MESS the country is in as a result of complacency for literally DECADES.

Olberman, the MSM's champion of restoring the constitution, ending the war in Iraq and ending the complete corruption in Washington is totally against Ron Paul..

The Hypocrisy of that man astounds me to no end...

He is quite possibly the Biggest dipshit in Media

This is an excellent idea, but Oberman takes his marching order from the same people Fox reporters do. You'd have to find someone willing to turn on the establishment, like that talk show host on V.

It is unfortunate but I must say we can not trust anyone in the media. ANYONE.

It needs to be pitched to Olbermann as a chance to slam Fox, not to endorse Paul. Surely one of the Paul-friendly MSNBC staff (Carlson, Scarborough, et al) should be in NH next weekend anyway, and should be available to host a special forum for Paul.

I remember one key moment in George Pataki's 1994 run for Governor in New York, where he purposefully avoided being in a TV debate with Cuomo, if he had to share the stage with third party candidates. He instead arranged a solo interview on a competing station the same week, and presented himself in a very Gubernatorial fashion. The effect was somewhat like a 2nd job interview, before the hiring (and Pataki did get 'hired' by the voters). Paul could similarly set up a 'job interview' like TV appearance that sets him apart from the other contenders and shows he transcends the 'jurisdiction' of Fox and other networks to include or exclude him.

I used to be a huge Olbermann fan, til I started supporting Ron Paul and realized that Olbermann is all talk when it comes to what he wants from government. Ron Paul would be on Countdown every other night if Keith Olbermann was serious about demanding honesty from our government and real policy change.

doesn't Paul have a ton of money he doesnt know what to do with? how much does it cost for him to buy some Major network time and put on a show the same time as this debate? and i don't mean time on the VS. network or Oxygen.. i mean a big station. that is probably the only way we will ever get around all the roadblocks that are thrown at us.

Same here. I was so disappointed in him when I realized that he had an agenda just like everyone else.

The guy finds weekly excuses to call Bill O'Reilly the worst person in the world. I don't want to get into a debate about whether that's exaggeration or not, but I'm just pointing out his game.

I don't think we'll get long-term coverage on it, just knee jerk reactions by individual journalists ready to pounce. They'll all be shut down, if not by "conspiracy theory" material, just plain old market forces that don't want to advertise another channel's program.

Asking him to speak in favour of Ron Paul is like asking the Democratic Party to do it.

Easy man, we need all the help we can get. Maybe olbermann is a hardcore democrat. Doesnt matter, anything he can do to help us, just helps us. You put Ron Paul in a debate with Hillary Clinton, its over man. He would make her look so dumb. Don't be so quick to dismiss people.

This is how they do it. This guy should be publicly endorsing Ron Paul nightly. He hasn't even said his name once AFAIK. This level of manipulation is mind boggling but it is the standard in CIA/CFR controlled media. If we don't win this election it'll be solely because the so called anti-war left wouldn't vote for Ron Paul as a candidate. The war's continuation will be blood on their hands as far as I'm concerned. Its truly sickening to me. Millions more are going to die because of Roe vs Wade , global warming hysteria, healthcare and evolution. The whole antiwar movement has been split and divided to the point of total inefficiency.

Its actually not true that he's never mentioned Ron Paul's name, he did during one of the debates in passing.
