Ron Paul Campaign Opens Michigan Headquarters Saturday in Detroit
Republican presidential candidate opens second office statewide
DETROIT — Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will unveil his campaign's new Michigan headquarters in Detroit on Saturday. The grand opening kicks off with a "Ron Paul Holiday Walk-Off" from 11am to 4pm, at which local volunteers will meet and canvass the surrounding neighborhood. After the walk-off, volunteers will return to join supporters from Southeast Michigan and statewide for a rally and open house at headquarters.

"This is a great day for the campaign in Wayne County," said Paul Michigan state coordinator Leslie Roszman. "Our largest group of grassroots supporters are very active here spreading Dr. Paul's message of freedom, peace, and prosperity, and with their help, we know we'll be ready for the primary on January 15."

The Detroit location, at 18981 Telegraph Road, on the southwest corner of Telegraph and 7 Mile Road, is the second of two offices opening this week. The 10-term Texas Congressman and rising 2008 White House contender opened his first Michigan campaign office Thursday in Flint, and is planning another office opening next week in Grand Rapids.

Congressman Ron Paul has been in the news lately for his record-breaking fundraising and steady ascent in the polls. He made Michigan news in October when an evening rally at the University of Michigan drew over 2,000 supporters. With over 10,000 volunteers, the Ron Paul 2008 Michigan campaign is the largest grassroots campaign in the state.
