Great concept! The font you used for the names is awesome.
The portraits themselves are a little pixelated or something. Perhaps starting with higher-resolution source images could help avoid that.
What software are you using to make this?
I just used the paint program that my computer came with. I just had the idea and thought I would whip something up quickly. Maybe someone can do something more professional along the same lines.

Nah, you're doing fine!
Here are a few tips:
Try to make sure that the source images for the portraits are larger than they will be after you add them to your image. This will help prevent pixelation.
When you resize and reposition the portraits within your image, try holding down the shift key before you click and drag with the mouse. Don't release the shift key until after you've released the mouse button. This should keep the portraits within their original dimensions, so you don't get skewing or stretching.
In all, though, it's good. Keep playing around with this stuff.
I look forward to seeing what else you come up with. :)

Good work, I used a program called The Gimp (its free) to make my banners (http://ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=6688).
Thanks Spirit of '76 I made a few changes to the graphic. I used your tips and found another picture of Thomas Jefferson.

Nice concept! :) I like both. For either version, you might play with running the Ron Paul pic thru one of the paint filters in Photoshop to give both portraits a cohesive look. I like the font and the old style to it.
