View Full Version : Fox news forum is NOT the ABC debate.

There seems to be some confusion here. The Fox news event on Jan 6 is a FORUM NOT A DEBATE. AFAIK there will be no audience. It's just the candidates sitting at a table with Chris Wallace asking questions ala Charlie Rose style.

The real Jan 5 ABC news DEBATE is the day before and AFAIK Dr. Paul is included.

Both are being held at St. Anselm College.

The Fox news decision is bad, but Dr. Paul is still going to be on the main NH debate. So don't get too discouraged. Maybe ABC will mention the exclusion during the real debate.

Just FYI.

We must take action NOW to get him into the forum!

If he does not get into the forum then the mainstream media will use it as an excuse to totally ignore him!

1) We need to spread the word about this exclusion all across the internet. Everysingle Ron Paul supporter needs to be alerted immediately so they can join us in this effort! For example, we need to tell our friends on Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and Youtube! Also, we need to send a message to all of our Meet Up groups!

2) We need to fax, email, and call every single person at Faux News and other media organizations to tell them about our outrage! The messages should be non-violent and peaceful, but we need to make it clear that we are TICKED OFF and we are NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS!

3) We need to go on every radio show, every internet broadcast, and every call in TV program and let everyone know about this outrage!

I agree. Faux news sucks. I just don't want people getting discouraged.

ABC is hosting the real NH debates and AFAIK Dr. Paul is INCLUDED.

Why do you want Dr Paul talking to the Fox News Monsters anyway? Let them talk about who wants to kill the most muslims.

It's 90 MINUTES of air time on Fox New Channel and it is SPONSORED and ENDORSED by the New Hampshire State Republican Party.

They even invited Fred Thompson, when Ron Paul has consistently polled as much as double him in the New Hampshire polls.

The HELL it doesn't matter!!! This is an OUTRAGE.

New Hampshire Republicans should be OUTRAGED at their state party for not immediately retracting their sponsorship and endorsement of this event.

This is what I thought. Someone else thought it was with an audience. He was wrong. I personally think they would all gang up on him in a little roundtable.

This is being sponsored and endorsed by the New Hampshire State Republican Party as the definitive Candidate Forum for New Hampshire Republican primary-goers.

It is enormously important.

And what is so outrageous is that some of the candidates who are invited, poll consistently LOWER than Ron Paul in New Hampshire.

Think about what assholes they will look like after RP places 2nd in Iowa and gets time in the ABC debate.

I agree. It's an outrageous act by Faux. It's obviously intentional by them to slight Dr. Paul. Rupert Murdoch just took over the Wall Street Journal as well and seems intent on destroying all freedom of the press except his own and his agenda.

By all means continue calling, faxing, whatever to get him on it. Publicize it. Call their advertisers. Maybe also put some pressure on ABC and other networks to make sure they run the story.

Just trying to add some clarification.

Lets do what it takes to get Ron Paul into this forum!

We have watched for months as Ron Paul is largely ignored, unfairly criticized, mocked, and marginalized by Fox News and the "mainstream" media. While this has been taking place we have also been able to watch as these same organizations "anoint" other candidates such as Huckabee who have very little or no grassroots support and have raised less money. It's obvious the media is trying to determine the outcome of this election by giving certain neo-con candidates attention they do not deserve and marginalizing freedom loving candidates like Ron Paul.

Recently we have learned that Fox News has excluded Ron Paul from the "forum" to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2007. If we want to get him included in this forum we need to take peaceful, lawful, and non-violent action starting right now! We do NOT have a single day to spare. To be blunt, every single day is valuable if we are going to get Ron Paul into this forum!

3) We need to go on every radio show, every internet broadcast, and every call in TV program and let everyone know about this outrage!

Unlike what some suspicious people are saying the time for action is NOW. The fact is that we don't have time to wait and see what happens, to get every tiny piece of information about why they decided Ron Paul was not worthy of being in the debate, and to find out what the "official" campaign is going to do. If we want Ron Paul in this debate we cannot wait one single day and not one single hour!

Menthol Patch,

Are you trying to sabotage the campaign?

I know. The spam from him posting the same message over and over and over is getting a little tiresome. Time for the Ignore button, I guess. We know what needs to be done and don't need the messages repeated over and over and over.

I'm all for working on Faux, although it may well just entrench their position, but calling the NH GOP and the NH campaign offices seems to be counter productive.

Contacting Fox local and national ADVERTISERS, local affiliates and other media outlets seems like a better strategy.

Jesse Jackson has a good formula (not supporting Jesse Jackson). Pick an offending corporation - Fox advertiser, announce the offense and a boycott, then embarrass the hell out of the corporation until they cave on the issue.

There doesn't seem to be a definitive debate schedule. Here's a couple of debate schedules anyway (unverified) -

Yes. Fox News are doing two different things on Jan 6th and Jan 10th.

The Jan 6th is only a forum. The Jan 10th is an actual debate.

Unless I'm missing something - there is NO mention of a Jan 6 Faux Forum on the St Anselm College site.

The ABC DEBATES on Jan 5 ARE mentioned.

Can't find any mention of the New Hampshire Faux Forum on the Faux News site either.

Can't find any listing on the TV guide site for FNC or Fox on Jan 6 either. Just the regular Chris Wallace show at 6pm ET.

Can't find it listed on Romney, Ghouliani or Huckaberry's schedule either.

Curiouser and curiouser.

So far - no further credible source confirmation that the Faux "forum" even exists.

The real New Hampshire DEBATE is still on ABC NOT Faux News.

I hope RP does very well in IA. He also really needs to rock the house at the ABC debate on the 5th. Doing so would really point out Fox News' blatant censorship. Campaign staff needs to make sure he is more than ready to rumble on the 5th!!
