C'mon people the media knows exactly what the deal is with Ron Paul. They are trading some of their legitimacy to upset the applecart but it won't work and they know that too. They know their grip is lost. So that begs the question why bother? I think they still have some hope they can shut Ron Paul down but surely by now they know their chances are slim to none.

Yep. That was just one thing that crossed my mind. Believe me, media is heavily controlled and astutely manipulated in order to shape perception. Some of it is benign but a lot of it isn't, especially when it has to government, politics, the economy, social issues etc. etc. Important stuff.
