Who do I contact in the campaign to get the campaign to FOLLOW UP on this? Dr. Paul can contribute a memo or a video to be placed under his photo that is now FINALLY on their page "Know Where Your Candidate Stands".

Tina

Dear Sir,

This is just a follow-up email to let you know that we added Dr. Ron Paul to the website a couple of weeks ago:

http://www.nrapublications.org/celebration/

Thank you for helping bring this to our attention. Even though Dr. Ron Paul was not at the event, we felt that he should be included in the summary. If we have a similar event in the future, we hope for him to attend.......

In reply to my December 4, 2007 correspondence:

Angus,

Thank you so much for your reply and the clarification. Please let me first say that I am not some crack-pot political activist (I mention this because I am sure you get emails from a lot of those type of people). I have never been a political activist. I have never been a part of any candidate's race for office. I have always voted but it seemed to me that my choices were merely picking the lesser of two evils. I heard Ron Paul speak and his words prompted me to become proactive.

I read your reply and understand your position:
When deciding where to apply our efforts in various races nationwide, we consider whether the candidate has a reasonable chance of winning. Some pro-Second Amendment candidates, unfortunately are so handicapped by local political conditions, lack of funds, lack of staff or volunteer support, and other difficulties that even a massive NRA effort could not put them over the top and would simple be a waste of NRA members' time and money.

But, I must ask, is the NRA aware that Ron Paul is currently leading all other Republicans in 4th quarter fund raising? Also, unlike telephone polls, Straw polls depend on people actually showing up to vote, much like a real election. Ron Paul has won more straw polls than any other candidate ( http://www.ronpaul2008.com/straw-poll-results/ ). CNN is reporting that Ron Paul is currently in 4th place for the Republican nomination ( http://www.ronpaul2008.com/press-releases/ ).

It appears, due to lack of media coverage, that the main stream media does not want the "passive" population to know that Ron Paul is a viable candidate. I feel as if the main stream media is ignoring Ron Paul's candidacy because they are pushing their own agenda. I think that his exclusion is doing a great disservice to both gun owners and to Dr. Paul. I would like to see Ron Paul included on your website because the voice of the NRA will reach gun owners and advocates such as myself. Please obtain more information on Ron Paul's candidacy and consider mentioning him some place on your website so that your members know that there is another choice.

You can view Ron Paul's support for the Second Amendment on his website ( http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/second-amendment/ ). I feel as if Ron Paul is more genuine that any other candidate on the Second Amendment and I have inserted a few links in hopes that you can take the time to read them and find out why I support Ron Paul for President. Please view Dr. Paul's writings:

> Thank you for your email to the NRA-ILA regarding Ron Paul. You mentioned that you think the NRA is ignoring Ron Paul's candidacy for the presidency; I assume you are referencing the site on which you saw the presidential candidates on our website. Allow me to clarify that this site solely addresses the Celebration of American Values conference which the NRA recently held in Washington, DC. Congressman Ron Paul was invited to the National Rifle Association's Celebration of American Values conference, but the NRA did not receive a response from him. As a result, there is no mention of your candidate in the article. If Congressman Paul had accepted the invitation, or contacted the NRA prior to the event, every effort would have been made to accommodate his appearance. In fact, NRA did work with a number of candidates who did not RSVP and we facilitated their appearance in person or via videotaped message. The same courtesy would have been given to the Ron Paul campaign had they contacted us. If and when the NRA has another candidate forum, we would hope that Congressman Paul would participate - either in person, or via videotaped message.

The NRA's candidate endorsement process is a complex one, and the Political Victory Fund takes great care to examine many factors when endorsing a candidate. First and foremost is a candidate's demonstrated record on firearms, hunting and civil liberties issues relative to firearms and hunting. We support incumbent officeholders who have a record of supporting Second Amendment rights, building a relationship of mutual trust with them. Our grades and endorsements are then reported to NRA members via our Political Preference Charts (PPC), which are available on the NRA-PVF website ( www.NRAPVF.org ), and either included in NRA's magazines, or mailed directly to members prior to Election Day.

Some pro-Second Amendment candidates, unfortunately are so handicapped by local political conditions, lack of funds, lack of staff or volunteer support, and other difficulties that even a massive NRA effort could not put them over the top and would simple be a waste of NRA members' time and money. On the other hand, some pro-Second Amendment candidates may be in such a strong position politically that little or no expenditure of resources is necessary to ensure their reelection, and our efforts can go to a more critical race elsewhere.

> Your concern regarding our endorsement of Ron Paul is very much appreciated, and I assure you that the NRA only endorses those candidates who support your Second Amendment rights. Once again, thank you for your comments. If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me at (800) 392-8683.

The official campaign needs to respond to them IMMEDIATELY and have a video posted under his picture [or a link]. Like Tom Tancredo did. Tom didn't attend but did send a video and they posted his video response.

The Ron Paul campaigns needs to get on the ball with submitting a video so the message under his name gets replaced with a link and a quote from him.

How do we contact the campaign to notify them?
