View Full Version : Blimp Floating over Jacksonville

The blimp appears to be floating over Jacksonville like a giant Ron Paul sign shimmering in the sky. I'm guessing that thousands of 'impressions' must have been made.

Any pics from the rally?

Still being made. Rush hour traffic in that area must be insane.

At least the blimp will make that ride back home more interesting and fun. . . and hopefully intriguing.

Here are just a couple from the Rally. There was over a hundred people there which is not bad considering we had less than 24 hours notice. Trevor also was there mingling amongst the crowd including some local media.

I personally work in a high rise next to the Jacksonville Landing downtown and watched the Blimp circle for an hour before I went down. I would have to say EVERYONE on my floor noticed the Blimp. In fact a couple people approached me to "let me know" it was here.

The local meet-up took hundreds of pictures and of course video which is all coming. Here is a link to the local newspaper and of course a couple of my personal shots below:

Do you need a high powered lens to see the writing on it, or are those pics taken from the viewpoint of what a person standing on the ground sees?

No special lens needed. I took mine with only a 6x zoom.

Tons of exposure over downtown Jacksonville, especially since I-95 and I-10 all intersect in the same area the blimp hovered for about 3 hours! I would say more than 100,000 people saw it easily today in Jacksonville.

I'd like to thank the Jax meetup for putting on a good time with short notice. Every bit as much fun as the St. Pete debate gathering, and the landing was definitely Paul country today.

84 degrees, sunny, and multiple fully stocked bars--your standard Ron Paul fare.

(Just one more reason why all the other hacks in the race have nothing on this movement.)

It was pretty well Pauled out at the Landing. I left there around 8pm (I know early) and they were still going strong. I was pretty pleased with the turnout considering we only had 24 hours notice.

I saw a few of my fellow Jax Meet-up supporters were able to grab pictures with Trevor. It was nice to see he made the time to mingle.

We left around 7:30 to come back to G'ville. I showed my girlfriend the picture you posted of her (with the sticker on her shirt.)

Her reply: "Oh, fantastic! (full on sarcasm)"

LOL

Not a problem. I am sure there will be plenty to follow. Were you on the blimp this time round?

No, I've been in Pittsburgh, PA the whole time and am likely to stay here. If the blimp ever gets close to me with some advanced notice/decent weather I will certainly drive out to see it. It's still kind of unreal to me...I think I'll really have to make an effort to see it live sometime.

P.S. Tell all your Jacksonville friends with photos/video to please email links to inquiries@RonPaulBlimp.com
