1. win the battle on the internet - winning the internet is one of those things that are a little overrated, like the iowa caucus. but it makes for great news. plus it almost worked for howard dean
2. place at least 3rd in iowa.
3. allocate most resources to win new hampshire, knock mccain out the race, gain maverick/independent votes
4. hope the momentum carries

New Hampshire has the FSP folks. We should totally engage them, last I heard they DO have a regional power base of people with 100% voter turnout.

It did work for Dean... he just screwed up in the end.

Now that I think of it that wasn’t even a screw up it was a rally yell. The media jumped all over it and BAM… he was done.

Yeah, the first issue is to win the battle on the internet.

The second one is to get Ron Paul a lot of mainstream media coverage. This hinges on a. his ability to win the battle on the internet, and b. donations to get him into debates, get him some ads, etc. Make sure to market to the moderates that left the Republican party, because he'd probably appeal to them.

After this point, he should have something resembling a support base. Getting folks together is key here to let them know that there's a lot of people pulling for him.

At this point, Ron Paul will have something to defend himself. He'll stop being a sheep and start being a wolf, and at that point he can go on the offensive against other candidates. Given the superiority of many of his arguments, he should be able to win there. Truth is more fearsome a weapon than propaganda.

Hopefully, all of this will be done in time for the primaries. Then we'll see. Hopefully he'll win. Then he goes on to having to face up against a democrat, which will be a tough battle. They've got a lot of steam going for them. At that point, Ron would have to market to the rest of the democrats, and possibly even people who don't typically vote. He'll have to answer problems about welfare, unemployment, etc. How he answers those questions will be determine whether or not he can win the presidency.

Dean burned out because he didn't have any substance behind him. There was excitement, but with nothing behind it, it soon evaporated. He wasn't significantly different from any of the other Dem candidates. As the head of the DNC, he's now considered a sellout by many of those that once supported him.
