Please use the closest answer possible.

I'm curious to see how the people who use our forums learned about him. We found out last poll I posted that about 13% of the folks here supported Obama previously. I'm interested in knowing how the same people learned about him.

Watched the debate in South Carolina on the web - and I saw the light! I had barely heard of Ron Paul before that, but I'm Swedish so it's not THAT weird.

I saw his name on the Libertarian forum on myspace when he first announced he was going to run. After a little research I remembered that I had seen him on Freedom To Fascism way before that. I called my wife and said hey, remember that awesome congressman? He's running for President! :D

None of the above.

At a sports message board I frequent, a poster began a topic on why he supports Ron Paul. I didn't pay any attention to it until I decided there were no candidates that deserved my vote. With nowhere to turn I went to Paul's website, read a portion of his platform and a summary of his voting record and was immediately sold.

I'd heard of him before, but in 2005, I read his essay "Who's Better Off", and I heard angels sing.

I immediately delved deeper into his writings and wound up sending him a couple emails in 2006 pleading for him to run for President. Glad he read them! :)

I was watching the GOP debate because I'm a political junkie. I didn't expect to like any of the candidates, but even so it's better than watching "Grey's Anatomy". Then I heard some guy talking about the proper role of government...

I first heard about Ron Paul from a friend of mine at the Conspiracy Cafe website way back in 2005 when I made the comment that the term 'honest politician' was an oxymoron. He told me about Dr. Paul and I said, "Great, lets run him for president!"

and here we are. lol

My dad was converted by one of Mercola's e-mails, and he then told me that he was going to vote for the guy who wanted to get rid of the IRS. I was like HUH??!! because that seemed ridiculous... at the time. So I did some research and YouTube-ing and got hooked :)

The media coverage that resulted from the initial Rudy/Ron confrontation in the first Fox News debate. Yes, I have Rudy Giuliani to thank for alerting me to Dr. Paul.
