POS 1996 Ford escort. The paint job is shot anyways and I got the car for free so I'm not really sacrificing anything. I'll post in your meetup.

I posted on your meetup. It can't be this weekend because I'm heading to Vegas Saturday. Perhaps the Saturday after next since I have to come up to Phoenix anyways to pick up my son at Sky Harbor anyways.

Looks great!
I'd do it in a heartbeat if the military would allow it - I've been forbidden due to some outdated overreaching regulation.

Huh? There's nothing that says you can't paint your car for your favorite candidate. You just can't be politically active while representing yourself as doing it in an official capacity.

You parked your car to comeback and it was painted. You do not know how it happened they just painted your car....when you save up enough money you will get it painted over.

What regulation?

AFI51-902 (http://www.e-publishing.af.mil/shared/media/epubs/AFI51-902.pdf)

3. Prohibited Activities. Air Force members may not:

3.19. Display a large political sign, banner, or poster on the top or side of a member's private vehicle

There's a LOT of crap in that reg that I find insulting - some of which I have chosen to ignore (such as 3.15. Make campaign contributions to a partisan political candidate.) but the large sign on the car would be a heck of a lot easier for my supervision to notice than my donations and sign waving on the far side of town from the base...

haha - that wouldn't fly, my supervision knows I support him and would see right through it unfortunately.

Since it says side or top could you legally use the front and rear?

I don't see how that regulation is legal. I was in the Army for 13 years and never heard of any such thing. If such a regulation existed in the Army, I would have went to JAG for clarification because I don't understand how they can restrict your rights like that without just cause. Hell if you look at the biggest organizations that have donated to Ron Paul, the Air Force is one of his biggest groups behind the Army and Google.
