This is all very serious and very sad.
The fact that Ron Paul is being reported as polling at 4-10% is just a primer for stealing votes. If they set the expectations low enough, a second place everywhere will be seemingly great, but not enough to get the nomination. And that's all they need.
"Fuck You" Frank Lutz is on record saying that Ron Paul will get more votes than the polls indicate. He is priming the popular opinion as well. When Ron Paul gets 17% but Romney gets 21% it will all seem very plausible. After all, Romney polled around 20% all along, but Paul only around 4%, so 17% is great. Guess what, it aint great when that 17% represents half or less of the real votes.
