I love reading other peoples personal stories about finding Ron Paul support in places they wouldn't expect it. So here is mine...

Last week I took a trip to my home town to visit some old friends. The town is lansdale pennsylvania, and is located in montgomery county which has the most republicans in the entire state of PA. So me and a group of friends were drinking some beers. These friends are not political at all. I have never known them to follow current events. I decided to take a shot at pitching the message.

I ask "have you guys heard of Ron Paul?"

To my surprise, ALL of them have not only heard of Ron Paul, but love his message and will vote for him. So we continue to drink beers, eventually passing out.

In the morning, I make my way to the train station to catch a train home. This train station is the major train station in the county. The town it is in has a population density high enough that it is classified as a city. Inside the train station there is a sandwich shop owned by a local resident. I went over to the counter and found a STACK of Ron Paul slim Jims he is distributing to people. I talked to him about RP for a while and he said he gets his RP literature from a bread delivery man who has a truck covered with Ron Paul.

I'm thinking that this can't possibly get any better. I went outside the train station and saw a plethora of Ron Paul bumper stickers covering walls, newspaper machines, rails, etc.

Our support is real. We are very real. We are going to win.

Awesome story.

Yesterday I was putting Liberty Cards on driver side windows in a parking lot. I came across a car with a Ron Paul bumper sticker. The card on the driver side window I'm sure made his/her day :)

Glad to hear it. I was born and raised not far from there; up in coal country now. My 80 yo father was up over Christmas... I was making RP signs and they were all over the house... he said that Huckabee is full of horses**t and gladly took copies of both of Larry Lepards ads home with him (I'm handing them out in pairs). I've been very happy at the response to sign waves here in NEPA.

Great story. Make sure you follow-up with your friends in that they are registered Republican so they can vote in the April 22 primary and call them the day of the primary to get them to the polls.

Don't worry, I'm on it.

Although, Sometimes I wonder if the popular vote really matters at all. Do you think establishment delegates in PA will vote for Ron Paul if he wins the popular vote?

I went to a local restaurant and the waiter remarked about my RP t-shirt, which said Congressman Ron Paul Protecting Americans from Big Brother (Government Xed out) since 1976--how he liked that idea. I left a good tip and went out to car to get him a DVD.

Came back 9 days later, he is on fire telling me that he had already converted three people, even a know-everything Obama supporting college student, he is now burning disks and handing then out to patrons. I love seeing these new rabid supporters!

I love it. This whole thing reminds me of Fight Club. No one supposedly talks about Fight Club/Ron Paul, but everyone knows, and is secretly working to destroy all the credit card companies so everything goes back to zero....except for the last part. Plus we're not punching each other in the face in the basement of a bar. Ok, the Ron Paul grassroots really doesn't remind me of Fight Club.
