I love reading other peoples personal stories about finding Ron Paul support in places they wouldn't expect it. So here is mine...
Last week I took a trip to my home town to visit some old friends. The town is lansdale pennsylvania, and is located in montgomery county which has the most republicans in the entire state of PA. So me and a group of friends were drinking some beers. These friends are not political at all. I have never known them to follow current events. I decided to take a shot at pitching the message.
I ask "have you guys heard of Ron Paul?"
To my surprise, ALL of them have not only heard of Ron Paul, but love his message and will vote for him. So we continue to drink beers, eventually passing out.
In the morning, I make my way to the train station to catch a train home. This train station is the major train station in the county. The town it is in has a population density high enough that it is classified as a city. Inside the train station there is a sandwich shop owned by a local resident. I went over to the counter and found a STACK of Ron Paul slim Jims he is distributing to people. I talked to him about RP for a while and he said he gets his RP literature from a bread delivery man who has a truck covered with Ron Paul.
I'm thinking that this can't possibly get any better. I went outside the train station and saw a plethora of Ron Paul bumper stickers covering walls, newspaper machines, rails, etc.
Our support is real. We are very real. We are going to win.
