Who else thinks there is time to do a spur-of-the moment Greenville mailing, if Paul commits and updates his the HQ website tonight?

Here's one way of looking at it, assuming it takes 1 minute for each volunteer to endorse a letter with an appeal.

(L*P)/60/D/V

L= letters
P=count of people that sign each letter
60=number of mins in an hour
D=days spent working
V=number of volunteers willing to meet and sign letters

Here's my thought. Suppose we target mail the most Republican leaning zip codes and use 4,000 addresses, and have 3 signatures per letter, and had 40 volunteers. That's only one hour per person each night, over 5 days.

The response rate in typical bulk mailings is very low. Maybe 1%, even a half percent. But I think personally endorsed mailings would do much better. If 5% of the letters got people to visit the rally, and figure 2 people per household, then that's an additional 400 people that would be there. And most importantly... local people.
