Today Huckabee was trying to raise $1,000,000. Well, after 16 hours out of 24 he's only managed to come up with a paltry $53,000.

On the 24th of Dec, his web site showed 435 donors that had pledged $154,555.

Heck, he can't even get his donors to give?????

Wasn't it a grassroots effort?

Also, I don't think rubbing it in their face will help anything

Civility FTW!

I think it was a grassroots effort, but has the help of Huckabee's campaign by endorsing it or something. There's about 7 hours left.

Wrong forum, sirs and madams.

And yes, his campaign endorsed and promoted it. This was not exclusively grassroots.

Whats not his call? Pointing out that the thread is off topic of the section?

I wonder if Huckabee is a "ghost" for the Dems. A little press, a little cash - enough to keep him on the radar - and they'll crow if he gets the nomination... which is unlikely.:)

Whats not his call? Pointing out that the thread is off topic of the section?Actually it's within keeping with the other off topics in this forum. I don't see why this one was singled out.

I applaud the efforts of other campaigns to try to emulate our single day fund raising success. Just like Ron Paul advocates.

Spread ideas (and democracy) by setting an example, and people will want to emulate us.

However, no other candidate will be able to pull off what we did on Nov. 5th and Dec. 16th. The type of supporters the other candidates have makes any "money bomb" doomed to fail. Not because they are bad people but they just don't have the power of the internet behind them.

Like Dr. Paul says, long after he is gone the ideas that he is promoting need to continue to live on, and if folks are simply trying to do what Dr. Paul does...because it makes sense, and it works...then I say more power to 'em.

Just know that we do it best!

It's obvious that Huckabee has been proped up by the media to achieve some underhanded agenda:confused:, everybody loves him in polls and on TV but we all know that true love is expressed by digging deep into your pocket. 80k how disgraceful.:D

From what I understand, Huckabee was nowhere until he met with CFR.
