"Hello everybody. I know we're focused on planning the official "freedom fest" event right now, but I think we should also plan another guerilla-tactic sign-hanging. Watching that Memphis video got me excited to do it again! Sorry this e-mail is a bit long; we didn't get to talk about this much at the meeting.

First off, can anybody make or acquire a stencil for making banners like the one in the memphis video? This is exactly what we need to do for our next sign-hanging. Also, maybe we should emulate their small signs, as an improvement on ours.

They did 95 banners and 150 signs (with 30 people). We have already shown that we can do 500 signs with only 5 people constructing and 16 people hanging. Think about this: If 30 people participated in the sign-hanging this time, how many signs and banners could we do? If we set the date weeks in advance, can 30 of you (including spouses, girlfriends, kids, friends) participate in dwarfing the impact that the Memphis group had? Let's think big. Really big. E-mail me if you want to contribute to these efforts; I'd like to start a list now.

I'll post this on the message board so that we can begin discussing these issues as well as what a strategic date would be for the next sing-hanging. Also, should this effort coincide with, take place before, or take place after the big official "freedom fest" we're planning? Should our promotion of the freedom fest be more official and, well...legal? Or should we do sign-hanging to promote the fest as well? Let's put our heads together and all contribute time and energy to multiply our success from July 3!"

So we had our Ron Paul Overnight Strategic meeting last night.

After doing an initial survey of some of the highways, there's very few overpasses on the big interstate. We need a different kind of sign, not just the big banners.

What do you guys recommend? I'm thinking something big that can be attached to a lamp post, (the concrete barrier has big lamp posts in the middle of the interstate) maybe a thick cardboard sign. I need something big enough so cars driving by will see it, but sturdy and simple enough to attach to the metal post....
