Ok

I finally got some contact back. The guy is still working with the actual ad agency finding out if this is doable. He said because of the holidays and everything going on its been kinda hard to get anything done lately. But they want to know exactly when we would like to run the ad.

I'm just going to tell them ASAP

He did say that the ad was definitely Big Screen Quality
Thanks Adrian Grey for the Great production skills

So I'm hoping to get the rest of this wrapped up real soon.

PS I know we are late for National Treasure 2 but if we do this it runs before EVERY movie that is playing in each theatre so it will go way above and beyond

EDIT+++++++++++++++++

Ok Unfortunately They won't allow any political ads endorsing one particular candidate.

But I am going to find out if we can do an ad showing the turth about other candidates or if we can just do an ad saying something along the lines of

"Only a Doctor can save America now" and just give info about Ron Paul's qualifications or something any ideas

Basically, the goal was initially to run the following 30 second clip before all showings of "National Treasure 2" nationwide for some number of weeks.

Sounds now like it's changed to go before all movies???

I think it's a great ad.

What kind of pricing you talkin' Dealz? And have you nailed down a contracted timeframe? Would it be through Feb 1-2 weekend?

That is a fantastic spot!

It should be running all over, not just in movie theaters. It has that epic film trailer feel that captures attention on television, as well.

No doubt. If I had no idea who Ron Paul was, I would certainly remember to check him out on the web when I got back from the movies.

Good luck with this! Looking forward to hearing the success story.

what about the cost?

Prices please, even if they are just ballpark figures.

Lucid American

Pretty pricey for the easily sticker shocked -- I believe it was previously expected to be in the low hundreds of thousands. On the other hand, weighing it against say $3M for a 30-second single-run Super Bowl ad, it's not bad at all.

Wow, I just saw National Treasure 2 today, and while watching the ads before the movie I was thinking, "How cool would it be if they played a Ron Paul ad right now?" Who knew it was already in the making!

I hope so . . . it's the one thing currently being planned that I've "earmarked" a spending option with my wife on for the campaign. :)

Constructive criticism:

The ad should contain "The Patriot Act" not "Patriot Act" when it is used in the phrase in the ad. Grammatical errors are disruptive to the viewer's experience.

And technically it should be The PATRIOT Act in caps, as it is an acronym. Still, I never found it disruptive -- if he can change it at this point, it's a minor correction; if not I don't think it's a killer.

The power of collective thought. Weird, because I, too, just went to see National Treasure last night and I said out loud to the people I went with "wouldn't it be cool if we had a Ron Paul ad playing before the movie?"

You know, really, like someone earlier suggested, why wouldn't this work for a TV ad, too? Big network, prime time slot?

As far as I know, there's nowhere to donate yet. Dealz is still getting the skinny on the info with the ad agency.

Seems to me they would have been a little more responsive given the funds involved, but like he said . . . the holidays.

We still should run that ad on television.

If we could form a PAC to target the Super Tuesday states, that would be the perfect ad for it. What do you guys think?

DealzOnWheelz

I'll try to get info on pricing
