A group known as "the macchio family" is going to be spreading the image of Ron Paul's face. They're known for doing this with other images in the past. Here's a clip about them... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qmOg3Oa18Y&feature=related

Personally, I don't know how to feel about groups like this... They get their message out, but break the law in the process.

RP is big on property rights... so... the property destruction they cause is something he'd be against...

Freeways and public funded onramps etc.. are not private property. I'm all for that.

Perhaps they could stick to public property? Still effective without bothering private property.

Their argument is they don't have money for their own signs so they just do it for free... hmmmm..

I wonder how they would feel if they had money and paid for their own billboards, only to have some kids come and cover it up with a Pepsi ad.

As said above this is a property rights issue. Those kinds have some growing up to do. This would only be used against us to show how disrespectful Ron Paul supporters are.

They post on an eighties movies message board I belong to (which has been taken over by the Dr. Paul discussions, like most forums).

True graffiti art is not necessarily vandalism. It's about who controls "public" art. Corporate vs. People.

As long as they do it to federal property ;)

Well, some of them consider any public owned land that needs artistic improvement to be fair game. Not saying I disagree but I can sympathize. The "art" in society is disgusting and corporate.

I would rather see a really well done piece of street art than a corporate ad for vodka or mortgages.

Most of their poster placements seem to be done with a sense of humor. Hopefully they'll be smart about it.
