The Blimp is on its way to Florida. Today is December 27th and we will try to keep you advised as to the Blimp's route. You can watch the live video feed... a bit intermittent at times... but working... and the Blimp's position via GPS and Google Maps.

Weather along the route WILL be an issue and the route may change due to weather. But, we will try to give you estimates of when the Blimp is expected overhead in certain cities. This will NOT be a complete blow by blow.

For estimates of Flyover times at certain cities please visit the blog at:
Ron Paul Blimp Blog (http://www.ronpaulblimp.com/blog/)

What airport will the Blimp be at for Jan 1 & 2? We'll be traveling through the area and would like to assist with the landing after the Capital One bowl game in Orlando.

The actual airports will not be released as per instructions from AMS. Media rides will be conducted from the airports... but, the media will need to be escorted by airport security.

As for the grassroots there will be arranged rallies at which the Blimp will make a low hover visit (as allowed and appropriate). The first event is in Jacksonville. Please see the blog for the complete post.

thanks

Due to headwinds the Pilot is taking a route directly toward Savannah then Jacksonville. There will not be an overflight of Fayetteville or other cities along 95. This change is to help keep the Blimp on schedule for the Jacksonville, FL event… sorry everyone!

GPS looks like it is 'stuck' again...should get interesting when the blimp draws up over Interstate 95 in an hour or so...

The blimp will be landing in Florence, SC to refuel...a heads up to the local media, if any?

The blimp should be in Florence in the next 15 minutes. Because of some low clouds the blimp will probably stop for the night about 40mi. north of Savannah.

Unless you think it is a "bad idea" :pJust because I think it's a bad idea doesn't mean it isn't cool or catchy or that I don't want to see it. I just think our money could've been better spent elsewhere on more effective methods, that's all.

I'm actually looking forward to it.
