Has anyone else heard about this? If you do a Google search, none of the "mainstream" (OLD) media report about this. BBC does and a couple of major Chinese news agencies. Apparently Iran offered normalized relations with the U.S. and even offered to accept the Saudi peace proposal with Israel (which recognizes Israel) and would attempt to reign in Hamas and Hezbollah. What did they want in return? To have sanctions lifted and to be respected by the U.S.
They even offered to put their nuclear program on the table!

Here is one article I found about it:

And here is the, apparently, two page document that was sent through the Swiss embassy. (Some reports say the proposal 'died' in Cheney's office)

Of course I don't really know if the pdf is the actual proposal, but still, the fact that such a proposal was made really puts to question all the assertions the administration has about Iran's nuclear program and their position towards Israel.

It was reported but much after the fact and overshadowed by other news quickly, unfortunately. I loved how the neocons that mocked Baker, et al., for wanting to talk with Iran and Syria were silent for a bit.
