View Full Version : Call to Arms

I hast had a crazy Idea and I need your opinion about it.

We all remember what great success we had on Nov.5
and the Teaparty07. Probably millions heard about the
fund raising success and followed the outcomes of those
days.

Now my idea has nothing to do with money bombs, but
rather the spirit and positive energy behind those days
by converting it into "Revolution Days" on election day
in each State, starting with the "IOWA Revolution Day".

The concept would be to show support for Freedom and
Liberty with large groups of friendly and hearty Ron Paul
supporters at every bigger Caucus Location - preferably
where the Old Media is present.

The whole Country will watch IOWA on January 3rd, that
is our chance to actually show that the R[evol]ution is
real. That it isn't just an Internet phenomena based on
a handful of Spam-bots. "The revolution really really
happens!".

That would be a huge success to win the hearts of all
the Ron Paul Fans who doubt that he can win and decided
to vote for someone more "real" instead. It would be
the "call for Arms" sign to show that we are out there,
cheering for "your" [the undecided] support to join us.

And the idea is expandable - people could hand out little
presents for Kids - or candy. No Flyers! - unless people
ask for more info. There could be coffee and cake for
caucus visitors, for example. Maybe the Media would pick
this up as well, I don't know.

Now some might think that this could backfire if we
don't make high polls in IOWA, but that's completely
irrelevant. It's about the Message: "We the People are
here, and we are no Internet Bots, we are real - and
we are here because we believe in a positive change
freedom, and getting the country back. "It's happening,
right in front of your TV-Screen - stand up and join us."

Right now this is just a very rough draft, but it surely
is valid enough to think about it and expand the Idea.

What is your Idea about it? :)

I myself am in Illinois about 3-4 hours away. I was thinking about going up on caucaus day to just to experience and watch the caucaus because I heard it works alot differently than simply casting a ballot.

That's how I understand it as well. I don't even know
what exactly will happen, but the MSM surely will show
up an air the events - and the WHOLE country is watching.

This is a great chance to show that it's really happening.

Isn't it?

Wait, are you saying people should come in from out of state? Iowans should be busy caucusing; they can't stand outside the caucus locations!

So the Media is reporting from within those
locations - or rather outside? Living on the
other side of the Planet, I don't know how
exactly the Media will report and what exactly
happens in- and outside.

I'm not really sure either, actually. I know the media performs entrance polls going in and gets the real poll results in the middle, but I don't know if they are actually allowed into caucus locations.

That's what I'm talking about. If the Media is
reporting from outside - we could actually send
the most positive Message to all the undecided
Ron Paul fans: "We are real! It's happening...
Join Us!" - like here:

"Ron Paul Supporters Crash Giuliani Party...Again!"

Funny thing is ... The Media can't hide. They will
be there and will air throughout the whole country...

Right, but who would be outside waving signs? Everybody should be inside caucusing for Paul.

As I said - it's a rough draft, that's why I'm asking
you guys in here. Especially the ones who actually
know where the Media will be and what exactly
happens during January third.

It certainly would get Ron's Name out once and for
all! For almost free! :)

Media is allowed access to the caucuses. Video serves as establishing shots as the talking heads discuss to goings on.

I should hope all Iowan Ron Paul supporters on this board would be working with the campaign to get his voters to their caucusing locations and not bothering with interactions with the media

I agree - this sounds reasonable. So you think there
is no way to use the nation-wide coverage to get Ron's
message out in a positive way without any interference
inside?

It would be cool if we could get some people to bring instruments
A pair of drums and a trumpet
to play some patriotic songs outside the caucuses while the other supporters yell "RON PAUL REVOLUTION RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION"

*lol* I was rather thinking about a silent revolution,
giving out some gifts, candy, maybe coffee and cake
and waving signs - or something like that.

The picture in my mind was seeing a thousand
Ron Paul fans waving signs - and being aired through-
out the country. (Like in the Video above) That would
get his name out and people would get curious about
all the support he draws. It's a perfect chance to use
this event for us and the people in general. :)

While the Iowans are inside cucusing (is that a word) the out of staters are outside parading and showing their support. Not a bad idea. In Nevada, the caucus should only take an hour or so. We'll probably plan some post caucus events. What's the weather report like? If I'm going to Iowa, I need to know that my frostbite will heal up before our caucus in Nevada on the 19th.

There aren't many better ways of getting publicity than winning Iowa ;)

Well, there is New Hampshire - and the Iowa-coverage
could help us in NH and all the other States.

That's the main point of the Idea - to show that it's
really happening and Ron does have a "chance against
all odds", despite what the loved Media wants us to
believe. (And many actually buy what the MSM says).

So why not prove the old media wrong? :D

All I know is that the doors close at a certain time - I think 7:00 p.m. It'd probably be too distracting (and/or illegal) to have a news crew in there. So yeah, they'll probably be outside.

Not sure it's such a good idea to stand outside an elementary school at 6:30 at night chanting a candidate's name. They're there to walk in and caucus, not be shouted at. Hmm.

I also don't know. I made the Idea so others
can think about it, point out flaws and come up
with own ideas how to use this unique chance. :)
