Many people have suggested having additional money bombs to raise money, and although IMHO that is pushing to hard and won't get the kind of money hoped for, I think that we need to push for 20 Million by the end of the quarter. Think we can manage that?

The 31 is the last money bomb of the year. Hopefully we raise more than 1 million on that day to get us to that 20 million mark.

20 million for the quarter is our goal

too many people are hyping money bombs for months from now. July 4th? come on. I hope they realize the primaries are in just a couple weeks.

money bomb time is over. it's give-money-as-fast-as-you-can time

The REAL final "big" money bomb should be organized only after Super Tuesday in February, to whip up an explosion of voter and financial support from the newer supporters that will result from our successes at the polls.

It like the others will need a theme that deeply resonates. I would suggest Federal Income Tax filing deadline on Tuesday, April 15th. Coincident with the fundraising, we could have sign waves at post offices as people drop off returns to meet the deadline, and then rally massively at midnight to celebrate the fundraising result.

Before that big final money bomb, though, I submit that we must focus on a more immediate goal: full and continuously growing funding of the campaign efforts leading up to Super Tuesday. The campaign has to pay for advertising and promotion with a lead time of several weeks, and we cannot afford the stop-start syndrome in fundraising associated with money bombs at this juncture. Also, we need to concentrate on measuring, reporting, and building on goals for the number of New Donors.

Another forum participant (skolwulf) is organizing an effort to provide for the immediate needs of the campaign that he calls "Ron Paul's Payday". It is starting to get a lot of positive attention on YouTube and Digg. Please go to the links in my signature below to see a video explaining more of his concept, and the website that is already up. Also, there is now a subforum in Grassroots Projects.

Thank you in advance for checking out the links below. This is really important. We need to make the Payday concept go viral.

donate 31$ on the 31st

$31 x 60,000 donors = $1.86 Million, enough to set RP over the $20M mark

Actually, if it's $31, than we'll just need 40,000 donors.

Of course, we don't have the time to organize a such moneybomb now. We need 10,000 people to donate 100. That site posted early only has 1,000 pledges :(

Doesn't seem as it's being publicized.

yeah but the point is that I think more poeple would donate because 31 is such a small amount of cash compared to a bill

don't forget about the first Ron Paul's Payday on Dec 28th. Fridays for Freedom! That should go a ways towards helping make the 20 million by 31st.

I don't see any reason to stop having money bombs.

It's like if you're playing football, and you throw the bomb in the first quarter, and get a 40-yard touchdown. You throw the bomb in the second quarter and a get a 60-yard touchdown. Why would stop throwing bombs, and start handing it off to the running back to chew up 4 yards at a time?

Money bombs work. They are a tool the other campaigns can't figure out. We should continue having one big money bomb every month. They draw in new supporters, and build excitement, and get existing supporters to pitch in more than they might have otherwise.
