Again, thanks to all who helped on this and offered suggestions.

We are final. The New York Times just informed me there is a good chance this will run on this Wed. Dec.26 or Thur. Dec.27.

The ad is pretty much the same as the ones that were posted earlier. Typos have been cleaned up and language improved ever so slightly.

http://ronpaul.cc/CommonSense2.0_NYT.pdf

Thanks Mark.

The easiest way to read this is to print it out is to go to the FILE drop down, Hit PRINT, then select PAGE Scaling: Tile Large Pages. It comes out in 4 pages. Cut and paste and you have a great full page adv.

Also, there is text in the lower right hand corner crediting Linda Lagana (graphics artist), John Barr (my best friend and a diehard RP supporter) and all of you on ronpaulforums.com. You know who you are.

I said it before and I will say it again. The beauty of this piece is the message. I did not conceive of the message. God did and Dr. Paul carries the message. I am just a guy who wants to be heard if it will make a difference. I have been blessed with economic success, with a toss of a coin it could just as easily have gone the other way and giving back for this cause is the least I can do. I wish I could do more.

We have named the piece Common Sense 2.0. It was me3 here on the forum who recommended that. Brilliant idea. Perhaps the name is immodest because we are not Thomas Paine, but the message is a common sense type message. Also, whoever recommended making it a cut out with scissors, PM me. Brilliant idea.

The only real criticism we have received is that it is kind of "preachy". I suppose it is. I am an old fashioned in that way. I assure you though that I am plenty flawed and like all Christians i need help on a regular basis. I am flawed. But this message is not. I think that is why it resonates with many people.

Please do what you can to spread this message. The advertisement is complete "open source". Reprint it, publish it, email it, ask your friends, "have you read Common Sense 2.0?" Let's make it ubiquitous. Let's creat a fad. Why can't this be something everyone in the U.S. hears about?

I know I am being immodest here, please give me some slack.

Thanks to all, may god or whatever higher power you believe in bless and protect you.

Yay! You are calling it Common Sense 2.0. :D

Thank you so much Mr. Leppard. I know your ultimate reward will be to see Ron Paul elected, but regardless of the outcome, you have inspired so many people with your commitment and your ability to reason.

Exactly. Result or no result, something big has erupted around Ron Paul that'll last more than 8 years.

Now that things are final, just sent this to my meetup group. Hopefully it goes viral.

Someone should post it up somewhere permanent and get a Digg link greated.

We need to get this posted verbatim on a prominent Ron Paul blog. Then we can begin an online marketing campaign for it. As soon as someone has it posted in it's entirety (on a decent site), please PM me. I have some resources to draw on to get this spread.

I would really like to see a PAC step up and pay to get this ran in South Carolina, and Nevada.

1) Meet Dr. Paul in person
2) Buy Lawrence a drink. What's it going to be Lawrence? A glass of Margaux-Margaux? A shot of Diaka? A Bud?

New Hampshire is covered. It will run this coming Friday and Sunday.

Iowa? Any one willing to do it? It sure would help.

It look fantastic. Thanks for all you have done for this movement Lawrence. It should get 10 times the exposure of hat silly move on Gen. Betray-us ad. I only hope it does.

If it sounds like I am angry, that is right.

It might just be me, but something about that sentence doesn't seem quite right.
Other than that, fantastic work and thank you for what you're doing.

Someone ought to start a chipin to run this in iowa. I think this is pretty important alongside door to door campaigning.

I'm not sure how to start chipins.

Anyone in Iowa know how much this would cost to run in some of the major IOWA newpapers?

I think Lord Xar knows the prices.

Well, I am only familiar with the Des Moines Registrar and the Ames Tribune.

If we can get a FAST chipin up to like 25K , we can run full page ads in each of these papers - along with 2 satellite papers associtiated with the Ames Tribune (boone republican and another).

Thinking with that we could reach about 300 -340K people.

This is NOT an exact figure. It might be high. BUT, with the left-over we can hit another newspaper on the outskirts.

I haven't been to Boston in a while, but when I get back there I definitely feel as though I owe Lawrence a drink. But I'll tip one back for you now anyways - Cheers Lawrence!! Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

There's a great video that was released a couple of days ago supporting Ron Paul with clips of "Mr Smith Goes to Washington" in it.

I made a simple page for it with the lyrics. If you have a heart the song might even make you cry.

And Merry Christmas everyone.

Thanks Lawrence. I think this ad represents a human interest story of great substance. Not like the wasteful stuff the mainstream media dishes out to us, but rather, a story of someone who cares deeply about doing something that will help make this country a better place for all of us.

I put a HD version of the vid up now. Looks decent. The youtube vid wasn't the best to work with.
If I can ever get the original video, I'll put it up.

http://ronpaul.cc/video/John_Mappin - Inner_Truth.htm (http://ronpaul.cc/video/John_Mappin%20-%20Inner_Truth.htm)

The video can be downloaded by selecting the last control on the right. It looks almost an arrow pointing down.

You'll need a Divx player to play it. You can get one here: http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/webplayer/

Just below the download button there's an offer to get the pro version for free if you put a vid on your webpage:

"Add the DivX Web Player to your website, send us your URL
(and tell us if you are a PC user or Mac user)
and we'll send you a free serial number for DivX Pro ($9.99 value)."

Unfortunately I'm in Florida and haven't really been in contact with any Louisiana Ron Paul groups. I was happy to see that we got enough donations for New Orleans last night, though.
